IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the
Governor has been pleased to pronounce the
under-mentioned gold-mining and agricultural leases
cancelled, and that the ground is now open for ap-
plication as if no leases of the said ground had ever

Cancellation of Gold-Mining Lease, West Wanganui
Mining District.

Crown Lands Office,
Nelson, 18th July, 1881.

NOTICE is hereby given that the certificate of
occupation granted under section 18, Appendix
A, of "The Mines Act, 1877," to William Calverly
Riley and others (the Morning Star Gold-Mining
Company), for a gold-mining lease of 10 acres 3 roods
25 perches, at Anatori, West Wanganui, has become
void, the holders of such certificate having failed to
comply with the provisions of section 20 of the said
Appendix A; and the land is open to persons holding
miners' rights or business licenses, or to applicants
for a lease, as if a lease of the said ground had not
been applied for.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Reefton on or
before the 15th day of August, 1881.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Reefton.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: William George McCall. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Try-
again Gold-Mining Company." 5 acres, at Antonio's
Flat, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
Mining District.

Given under my hand, at Nelson, this
twenty-first day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one.
