Letters of Naturalisation issued.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 19th July, 1881.

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased
to issue Letters of Naturalisation, under
"The Aliens Act, 1880," in favour of the under-
mentioned person, viz. :-

Notice of proposed Addition to the Borough of
Arrowtown.

Wellington, 19th July, 1881.

A application having been made to the Governor
to incorporate into the Borough of Arrowtown
the lands hereunder described, His Excellency directs
it to be notified that, unless within two months from
the date of the public notification hereof, a petition or
petitions, as required by "The Municipal Corpora-
tions Acts Amendment Act, 1880," is or are pre-
sented to His Excellency, he will proceed to incor-
porate the said land into the Borough of Arrowtown,
and add the same to the Camp Ward thereof.

The description of the land proposed to be added
is as follows: Sections Nos. 37, 36, and 67, Block
VII., Shotover Survey District.

Application for Registration of Two Trade Marks.

NOTICE is hereby given that Messrs. S. MANNING
and COMPANY, of Lower High Street, Christ-
church, in the Colony of New Zealand, Brewers and
Bottlers, have applied to register, under "The Trade
Marks Act, 1866," the trade marks of which the
following is a description:---

Description of Trade Mark No. 1.
A coloured label, in the centre is a shield in the
upper portion of which is a view of the Christchurch
side of the Lyttelton Tunnel, underneath on the left-
hand side a sheep, on the right a cow, between them
a sheaf of corn, and at the bottom a plough. An
oval border encircles the shield, in which are the
words "East India Pale Ale, First Quality;" above
and below the shield are the words "Bottled by
S. Manning and Co."

Description of Trade Mark No. 2.
