Proclaiming Feilding a Borough under "The Muni-
cipal Corporations Act, 1876."

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section seventeen of "The Muni-
cipal Corporations Act, 1876," the Governor
is empowered, by Proclamation, to declare any district
in New Zealand to be a borough under the said Act,
from and after a day to be named in such Proclama-
tion:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pur-
suance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in me by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the district described in the Schedule
hereto shall be and the same is hereby constituted,
as from the seventh day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one, a borough under the
said Act, and that the name of such borough shall be
the Borough of Feilding, and that the boundaries of
such borough shall be those described in the Schedule
hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Provincial District of Wel-
lington, bounded towards the North from Mount
Taylor Trig. Station by Section 1; towards the West
by said Section 1 and by the railway reserve and
Section 49; towards the South-west by the said Sec-
tion 49 and by Section 48; again towards the West
by Section 84; again towards the North by Section
8, a road, and Section 7A, all of Block X., Oroua
Survey District; towards the East by Section 29;
towards the North-east by said Section 29 and by
Sections 28 and 26; again towards the West by said
Section 26, Block XIV., Oroua Survey District;
again towards the North by Section 27; again
towards the West by said Section 27; again towards
the North by Section 3, Block XV., Oroua Survey
District, to the Oroua River; towards the East by
the Oroua River; towards the South by the railway
reserve and by Section 149 (Native reserve) and
Section 86, Block XIV., Oroua Survey District;
towards the West by that portion of Sections 85 and
132, Block XIV., Oroua Survey District, lying to the
west of a line bearing 354Β° 11' (magnetic), from a
point on northern boundary-line of Section 86, Block
XIV, Oroua Survey District, distant 796 links from
Awahuri Road; again towards the North by a road-
line; again towards the West by Section 130, Block
XIV., Oroua Survey District, to starting point: as
the same is delineated on the plans in the Survey
Office, Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested
in me by the third section of "The Dog Regis-
tration Act, 1880," I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the County of Mongonui,
shall be excluded from the operation of the said Act.
