Land taken for Roads in Wairoa Survey District,
Provincial District of Wellington.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of roads in the Wairoa Survey
District, Provincial District of Wellington:

And whereas the Wairoa Highway Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map men-
tioned in and signed and certified as required by the
said Acts:

Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of. "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the seventh
day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged
from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and in-
terests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 4 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or
less, situate in the Survey District of Wairoa, Pro-
vincial District of Wellington, being portions of Sec-
tions Nos. 164 and 349, Blocks I. and VI. Bounded-
-Generally Easterly by Section No. 164 510, 187,
255, 610, 582, 412, 294, 473, 120, and 220 links, by

Kohi Stream 10 links, by Section No. 349 123, 248,
and 701 links respectively; generally Northerly by
Government road-line, 100 links; generally Westerly
by Section No. 349 718, 258, and 100 links, by Kohi
Stream 10 links, by Section No. 164 242, 151, 202,
281, 301, 406, 555, 525, 190, 230, 331 links, and by
Government Road 233 links respectively, to com-
mencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 3 acres and 11 perches, more or less,
situate in the Survey District of Wairoa, Provincial
District of Wellington, being portion of Section No.
141, Block I., commencing at a point (marked A on
plan) 757 links on line bearing 206° 15'; generally
westerly by original road-line, 129 links; by part
of Section No. 141, 336, 170, 129, 211, 122, 139,
84, 75, 96, 73, 139, 192, 368, 230, 477, and 204 links
respectively; generally easterly by original road-line,
318 links; by part of Section No. 141, 453, 200, 295,
356, 199, 20, 94, 40, 77, 177, 124, 244, 228, 182, and
394 links respectively, to commencing point.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 34 perches, more or
less (marked E on plan), situate in the Survey Dis-
trict of Wairoa, Provincial District of Wellington,
being part of Section No. 98, Block VI. Bounded-
Generally towards the West by portion of original
road-line 340 links, by part of Section No. 98, by
lines 287 and 886 links, and by original road-line
324 links; generally Easterly by part of Section No.
98, by lines 1165 and 582 links, to commencing point.

Also all that piece or parcel of land containing
by admeasurement perch, more or less (marked
H on plan), situate in the survey district and block
aforesaid, being part of Section No. 98. Bounded-
Generally towards the West by original road-line,
22 links; and towards the East by part of Section
No. 98, by lines 11 and 14 links, to commencing
point. Also all that piece or parcel of land contain-
ing by admeasurement 1 rood 6 perches, more or
less (marked F on plan), situate in the survey district
and block aforesaid, being part of Section No. 98.
