PATENT NOTICE.

TO all whom it may concern.-Public notice is
hereby given that, on the twenty-third day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
Letters Patent were issued by His Excellency Sir
Hercules Robinson, then Governor of New Zealand,
to WILLIAM ANDERSON EWING, for the manufacture
of a certain cement to be called "The New Zealand
Cement," and to be made from a calcareous sand-
stone of the Oamaru, Waipara, and Pareora formations,
found in various parts of the Colony of New Zealand,
in the manner therein described. And the public is
hereby warned against infringing the said letters
patent by making cement out of the said materials or
formations, as legal proceedings will at once be
taken against any persons so doing.

Dated this eighteenth day of May, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-one.

THE WAKATIPU STEAM NAVIGATION COMPANY
(LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that a General Meeting
of Shareholders of the Wakatipu Steam Navi-
gation Company (Limited) will be held at the Town
Hall, Queenstown, on Friday, the 8th day of July,
1881, at 2.30 o'clock p.m., to pass a resolution con-
firming the following resolution passed at a general
meeting of the Shareholders of the said Company,
held this day, at the Town Hall, viz.: "That the
Wakatipu Steam Navigation Company (Limited) be
wound up voluntarily, in compliance with 'The Joint-
Stock Companies Act, 1860.' "

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Copartnership
hitherto subsisting between the undersigned, as
Ale and Porter Bottlers and Wine and Spirit Mer-
chants, at the Canterbury Bottling Stores, Christ-
church, has been dissolved by effluxion of time as
and from the 1st day of April last past. All debts
due to and all moneys payable by the late firm will be
paid and received respectively by the Messrs. FRANCIS
BROTHERS, who will continue the business under the
style or firm of "Crowe and Co.," upon their indi-
vidual account.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
which has for some time past subsisted between
ROBERT GEORGE BAUCHOPE and NEWTON KING,
under the firm of "Bauchope and King," at the Town
of New Plymouth, in the Provincial District of Tara-
naki, carrying on business together as Accountants
and Land, Commission, and General Agents, at their
offices on the southern side of Devon Street, in the
said town, and as Auctioneers at their Auction Mart,
on the northern side of the same street, and at their
Cattle Sale-yards at the Waiwakaiho, was this day
dissolved by mutual consent.

Robert George Bauchope will continue to carry
on the said business of Accountant and Land, Com-
mission, and General Agent, and all debts owing to
and by the late firm relating to such business are to
be respectively paid to and by him.

Newton King will continue to carry on the said
business of Auctioneer, and all debts owing to and
by the late firm relating to such business are to be
respectively paid to and by him.

As witness our hands this 25th day of May, 1881.

A GENERAL Meeting of the Wallsend Coal
Mining Company (Limited) will be held at the
Institute, Collingwood, on Monday, the 11th day of
July, 1881, at 8 p.m., for the following purposes,
viz.: (1.) To confirm special resolution passed at a
general meeting of the said Company for the purpose
of winding up the said Company voluntarily, and the
appointment of Liquidators therefor. (2.) To fix the
remuneration of the said Liquidators. (3.) To
appoint Inspectors of the Liquidators' accounts.

mission at the rate of five per cent.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible hand.
The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

Communications should be addressed to the Government
Printer, Wellington, to whom Post Office Money Orders should
be made payable.

Postage or duty stamps cannot in any case be received in
payment from any place at which post-office orders are issued,
and, under any circumstances, are subject to a reduction at the
rate of one shilling in the pound.

NO ADVERTISEMENT WILL BE INSERTED WITHOUT PREPAY-
MENT BEING MADE.
