Changing Name of Ahipara Highway District,
County of Mongonui, to Kaitaia.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers vested in
me by the seventh section of the Act of the
Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Pro-
vince of Auckland intituled "The Highways Act,
1874," and "The Abolition of Provinces Act, 1875."
I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that the
name of the Ahipara Highway District shall be
and the same is hereby changed to that of the Kaitaia
Highway District.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this twenty-eighth day of
April, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one.

Amending Notification respecting Game in the
Auckland District.
ARTHUR GORDON, Governor.
WHEREAS by a notification under "The Animals
Protection Act, 1880," dated the thirteenth
day of April, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of
the fourteenth day of April, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-one, cock-pheasants and Californian
and Australian quail were declared to be open to be
taken or killed within the Auckland District during
the period mentioned in the said notification: And
whereas it is expedient to amend the said notifica-
tion with respect to the game which may be taken or
killed in the said district:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers vested in me by the said Act, do hereby
amend the said notification, and declare that, in addi-
tion to the game described therein, hen-pheasants may
be taken or killed within the said Auckland District,
excepting in the Counties of Tauranga and Whaka-
tane, during the period and under the conditions in
the said notification mentioned.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifth day of May, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-one
