duties therein mentioned shall be paid on such day
as the Governor in Council shall appoint: And
whereas by the third section of the said Act it is
provided that the duties therein mentioned shall be
paid on such day as the Governor in Council shall
appoint:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor in
Council, in exercise and in pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the said Act, and
of all other powers and authorities in anywise en-
abling him in that behalf, and by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony
of New Zealand, doth hereby appoint that the day
on which the duties mentioned in the second section
of the said Act shall be paid shall be the fifteenth day
of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two; and that the day on which the duty for and in
respect of all property mentioned in the third section
of the said Act shall be paid shall be the first day of
March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two;
and that the day on which the duty mentioned in the
said third section for and in respect of all fire, marine,
or guarantee policies shall be paid shall be the first
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
two.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
nineteenth day of December, 1881.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN
N exercise and in pursuance of all powers vested
in him by "The Property Assessment Act,
1879," "The Property Assessment Act Amendment
Act, 1880," and "The Property Assessment Act
Amendment Act, 1881," and all other powers and
authorities in that behalf enabling him, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said colony, doth hereby make the following regu-
lations for the purposes of the said Acts, to take
effect from the date of the gazetting hereof, that is
to say,—
Notice of alteration of assessment roll, in respect
of the property of companies, shall be in the
form set forth in the Schedule D hereto.
Notice of objection to such assessment by the
public officers of companies shall be in the form
set forth in Schedule E hereto, in lieu of that
hitherto in use.

Notice of Alteration of Assessment Roll.

from the giving of this notice to alter the assessment roll in
respect of the above-mentioned Company, by assessing the said

may object in the manner provided by the above Acts and the

HEREAS it is enacted by the ninth section of
"The Customs and Excise Duties Act, 1881,"
that the Governor may, by Order in Council from
time to time, specify the articles on which a drawback
of duty paid on importation into New Zealand may
be allowed on exportation therefrom, and the rate of
drawback to be so allowed; and may alter and cancel
any such order, and may approve of regulations and
conditions under which drawbacks may be allowed:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the hereinbefore in
part recited Act, doth order that, on and after the
first day of January, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-two, there shall be allowed upon the
articles specified in Classes I. and II., hereinafter set
forth, a drawback of duty paid on importation, or on
being cleared from the warehouse, according to the
rates specified against each article or class of articles
as follows:—
