Supreme Court at Blenheim, in the Provincial Dis-
trict of Marlborough.
SCHEDULE.
COMMENCING at a point situate in Section No. 1 of
the Survey District of Omaka, the raid point being
the termination ofportion of the railway from Picton
to Blenheim, in tho Town of Blenheim, as described
in & Proclamation dated the 14th January, 1879,
and published in the New Zealand Gazelte No. 7, of
the 16th January, 1879; proceeding thence in a gene-
rally south-easterly direction for a distance of 4 miles
and 40 chains or thereabouts, and passing in, into,
through, or over the following lands, &c.: Section No.
1, Omaka District; Sections Nos. 46, 45, 41,39,37, 35,
34, 32, and 26, Opawa District,; and Section No. 1 of
Block II., Omaka District, and terminating at a point
in Section 26, Opawa District aforesaid ; all within the
Provincial District of Marlborough, Colony of New
Zealand; and including all adjoining and intervening
places, lands, roads, reserves, streams, and water-
courses; in the manner delineated on the map and
plan marked P.W.D. 8770, and signed by the Hon.
Walter Woods Johnston, Minister acting for the
Minister for Public Works, and deposited in the
office of the Registrar of the Supreme Court at
Blenheim, in the Provincial District of Marlborough;
the total length being 4 miles 40 chains or there-
abouts.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of Nom
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
fourteenth day of December, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty-one.

Revised Regulations for Purchase, Control, and Issue
of Working Railway Stores.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirteenth day of D&ember, 1881.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council bearing date the
twenty-third day of September, one thousand
sight hundred and seventy-nine, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-fifth day of Sep-
ember, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine, certain amended regulations relating to railway
stores were made under the eighty-fifth section of
"The Public Revenues Act, 1878:" And whereas
it is expedient that the said regulations should be
repealed and revoked, and revised regulations made:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir Arthur Gordon,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by
virtue and in exercise of the power conferred upon
him by the said eighty-fifth section of "The Public
Revenues Act, 1878," and by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony,
doth hereby repeal and revoke the aforesaid regula-
tions of the said twenty-third day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, and doth
also hereby make the new regulations for the purchase,
control, and issue of Working Railway stores, and for
accounting for the same, contained in the Schedule
hereto; and it is hereby also, with the like advice and
consent as aforesaid, ordered that this Order in Coun-
cil, and tho regulations hereby made, shall have the
full farce of law from and after the thirteenth day of
December. one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
one.

tion Act, 1880."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
thirteenth day of December, 1681.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the thirty-sixth section of "The
Adulteration Prevention Act, 1880," it is, inter
alia, enacted that the Governor may from time to
time, by Order in Council, prescribe fees to be paid
in respect of the analysis of any articles of food or
drugs by any analyst: And whereas it is expedient
to prescribe such fees:
Now, therefore, His Excellency Sir Arthur Hamilton
Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
laud, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby
direct and prescribe that the fees mentioned in the
Schedule hereto shall be the fees to be paid in respect
of the analysis by any analyst under the said Act of
the articles of food and drugs mentioned in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.
SUPPLIES shall he purchased under contract whenever
practicable and advantageous, tenders being publicly
called.

The purchase, control, and issue of stores, and
accounting for the same, shall be performed by such
officers as the Minister for Public Works may
appoint, and subject to such instructions and orders
as may be issued by the General Manager of Rail-
ways in conformance with these regulations. -
Accounts shall he passed on the certificate of
the Stores Manager, or on that of some person duly
authorized, who, if the stores are bought under con-
tract, shall certify that. they are in accordance with
contract, or, if not under contract, that the price is
reasonable. -
Stores shall be issued only on the requisition of
duly-authorized officers. -
An invoice-book, a day-book of issues, and a
ledger of quantities shall be kept in each depôt. -
An account of all transactions connected with
receipts and issues of stores in each depôt shall be
made out at intervals of not less than four weeks. -
The Storekeeper in each depôt shall take stock
annually as directed, under the supervision of a duly.
appointed officer, who shall certify to the correct-
ness of the stock list, and shall audit the local
accounts.
