Auckland to Puniu (Ohaupo to Te Awamutu), being
one of the railways specified in "The Public Works
Act, 1876," was defined: And whereas pursuant to
the one hundred and twenty-fifth section of "The
Public Works Act, 1876," the Minister for Public
Works has caused to be made and, on the eighth day
of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
eight, to be deposited in the office of the Registrar
of the Supreme Court at Auckland, in the Provincial
District of Auckland, such maps and plans as were
necessary to explain the said portion of the aforesaid
line of railway and the land through which the
same passes, and such maps and plans were referred
to in such Proclamation as aforesaid: And whereas
the line of railway from Kaipara to Waikato is the
same railway as that referred to in the Proclamation
herein above recited, and is one of the railways speci-
fied in "The Public Works Act, 1879," and it is
enacted by the Act last named that such of the rail-
ways mentioned therein as are unfinished may be
completed under the provisions of "The Public
Works Act, 1876," "The Public Works Act 1876
Amendment Act, 1878," and "The Public Works
Act, 1879:" And whereas the land described in the
Schedule hereto is required to be taken for the said
portion of the railway from Kaipara to Waikato,
namely, from Ohaupo to Te Awamutu:

Now, therefore, Î, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise
of the powers and authorities conferred by the sixth
section of "The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment
Act, 1878," and of every power and authority in that
behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto is taken for the said
portion of the line of railway herein last above
named.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 1 acre and 33 perches, in the Survey
District of Hamilton, being portion of Lot No. 310,
Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at a point 201 links
from the easternmost corner of the Ohaupo Railway
Station land. Bounded-Easterly by a line 400 links,
and a road 100 links; Northerly by a road, 112 links;
Easterly by a line, 260 links; Southerly by a line,
247 links; Westerly by lines, 295 and 476 links
respectively; Northerly by a line to commencing
point, 107 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 19 perches, situate in
the Survey District of Hamilton, being portion of
Lot No. 311, Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at a
point 2164 links from the easternmost corner of
said Lot No. 311. Bounded-Easterly by lines, 1030
and 350 links respectively; Northerly by a line, 247
links; Westerly by lines, 282 and 1069 links respec-
tively; Southerly by a line to commencing point, 256
links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 1 rood 10 perches, situate in
the Survey District of Hamilton, being portion of
Lot No. 312, Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at a
point 1678 links from the south-easternmost corner
of said Lot No. 312. Bounded-Easterly by a line,
1383 links; Northerly by a line, 256 links; Westerly
by lines, 602 and 769 links respectively; Southerly
by a line to commencing point, 247 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 3 acres 2 roods 7 perches, situate in
the Survey District of Hamilton, being portion of
Lot No. 313, Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at a
point 1678 links from the easternmost corner of said
Lot No. 313. Bounded-Easterly by lines, 140, 435,
339, and 610 links respectively; Southerly by public
road, 228 links; Westerly by lines, 508, 400, 467,
and 212 links respectively; Northerly by a line to
commencing point, 247 links.

All that piece or parcel of land containing by
admeasurement 2 acres 1 rood 13 perches, situate
in the Survey District of Hamilton, being portion of
Lot No. 282, Parish of Ngaroto, commencing at a
point 90 links from an angle of the Alexandra Road.
