Gold-Mining Leases to be granted.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of leases for
gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it is
intended to grant leases of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicants specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such leases.

Objections to the granting of such leases, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Collingwood on or
before the 6th day of December, 1881.

Copy of the applications made and plans annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Collingwood.

SCHEDULE.

APPLICANT: Arthur D'Oyly Bayfield. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Hope Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods, at
Coles Gully, Collingwood, in the Collingwood Mining
District.

Applicant: Arthur D'Oyly Bayfield. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "The
Success Gold-Mining Company." 16 acres 2 roods,
surplus land between the Hope and Perseverance
Companies' claims, Collingwood, in the Collingwood
Mining District.

hua River, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West
Mining District.

Applicant: George Charles Bowman. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Star
of the South Gold-Mining Company (Limited)."
16 acres 2 roods, south of the Try Again lease, Boat-
man's, Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.

Applicant: John McLean. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "Sunnyside
Gold-Mining Company (Limited)." 16 acres 2 roods,
west of the Inangahua River, below the Wealth of
Nations machine-site; bounded on the East by the
Inangahua River, North, South, and West by Crown
lands; Inangahua, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.

Applicant: William Dunn. Style under which it
is intended to conduct the business: "The Weston
Quartz-Mining Company (Limited.)" 16 acres 2
roods; bounded on the North and West by unoccu-
pied ground, East by the Venus special claim, and
South by the Dauntless gold-mining lease; Inanga-
