Changing Name of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS. - It is hereby notified that, in con-
sequence of a change in the proprietorship of
the under-mentioned warehouse, its name has been
changed as follows:-

Port of Auckland.

A building situate at the corner of Fort and
Commerce Streets, on Allotment No. 50 of Section
No. 2 of the City of Auckland, hitherto known as

KUMMER AND CO'S BOND,

will, in future, be known as

HENDERSON AND MACFARLANE'S BOND.

Alterations and Additions to the Rates for the Con-
veyance, Delivery, and Storage of Goods, Parcels,
&c., on the New Zealand Railways.

IN accordance with the By-laws for the New Zea-
land Railways, fixed by Order in Council dated
the 6th January, 1881, the following alterations and
additions to the rates for the conveyance, delivery,
and storage of goods, parcels, &c., on all the New
Zealand Railways, are hereby declared to be fixed
and to come into force from the 17th November,
1881:-

PART IV.-LOCAL RATES.

HURUNUI-BLUFF SECTION, PORT CHALMERS.

Class N.

Goods of Class N, from Port Chalmers Quarry to
Port Chalmers Station or Wharf, will be charged
1s. 6d. per ton. Minimum quantity, 5 tons per truck.

Goods of Class N, from Port Chalmers Quarry to
stations on the main line, Hurunui-Bluff, will be
charged 6d. per ton in addition to the classified rates.

Notice of Intention to take Land for a Road,
Petone.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed under
the provisions of "The Public Works Act,
1876," to execute a certain public work, to wit, the
construction of a road through Section number two,
Petone, County of Hutt, Provincial District of Wel-
lington, and for the purposes of such public work the
land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be
taken; and notice is further given that a copy of the
plan of the said road, and of the land so required to be
taken, marked P. W. D. 8439, is deposited in the Pub-
lic Works Office, Wellington, and is there open for in-
spection: And notice is hereby given that all persons
affected by the execution of the said public work or
by the taking of the said land shall, if they have any
well-grounded objections to the execution of the said
public work or to the taking of such land, set forth
the same in writing, and send such writing, within
forty days from the first publication of this notice, to
the Minister for Public Works, Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 33 perches, more or less, situate in the
Belmont Survey District, Provincial District of Wel-
lington, being portion of Section No. 2, Petone,
commencing at a point 1218 links distant in a south-
easterly direction from Korokoro Trig. Station.
Bounded as follows: Southerly by Beach Road, 100
links; Easterly by a line, 208 links; Northerly by
the Hutt Road, 100 links; Westerly to commencing
point, 208 links: the same being more particularly
delineated upon the copy of the plan marked P.W.D.
8439, deposited as aforesaid.

Given under my hand this tenth day of
November, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty-one.

JAMES WILSON MANSFIELD, of Christchurch,
Engineer, has deposited at this office a specification
of the said invention, and I have appointed Saturday,
the 11th day of March next, at 10 o'clock in the
forenoon, at this office, to hear the said application
and all objections thereto; and I require all persons
having an interest in opposing the grant of such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 7th day
of January next, at this office, particulars in writing
of their objections to the said application, otherwise
they will be precluded from urging the same.
