links distant from the north-west corner of Section
No. 9076. Bounded as follows: Generally North-
erly by lines, 503, 927, and 145 links respectively;

North-westerly by a line, 455 links; South-westerly
by lines, 620 and 668 links respectively; North-

Lands declared to be Waste Lands of the Crown.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands described in the Schedule
hereto have been purchased out of the sums
authorized under "The Immigration and Public
Works Act, 1870," and Acts amending the same, to
be issued and expended in the purchase of lands in
the North Island of New Zealand, and it is expedient
that the said lands should be declared to be waste
lands of the Crown:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, being
satisfied that the lands described in the Schedule
hereto are free from Native claims and all difficulties
in connection therewith, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in me by the
seventeenth section of "The Waste Lands Adminis-
tration Act, 1876," and the twenty-eighth section of
"The Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," and
all other authorities enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare the said lands to be
waste lands of the Crown, subject, except as in the
first-mentioned Act provided, to be sold and dealt
with according to the provisions of the laws regulat-
ing the sale and disposal of waste lands of the Crown
in force in the land districts in which they are
respectively situated.
SCHEDULE.
OTUHI.
ALL that parcel of land in the District of Whangarei,
in the Provincial District of Auckland, known by the
name of Otuhi, containing by admeasurement 150
acres, more or less. Bounded towards the East and
North-east by Allotment No. 57, Parish of Maunga-
tapere, and the termination of a road-line 100 links
wide, 2300 links and 2010 links, by a line 2860 links,
and by the Waionepu Stream; towards the South-
west by a line, the termination of a road-line of width
aforesaid, and again by a line 10630 links; and
towards the North-west by a line, 2901 links.
PAKIRI NO. 2.
All that parcel of land at Mahurangi, in the Dis-
trict of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, known by the name of Pakiri No. 2, contain-
ing by admeasurement 9,766 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the North-east by the sea; towards
the South-east by the Pakiri No. 1 Block 58480
links, and by the Mangaripo Stream and the Hoteo
River; towards the South-west by the Pakiri No. 3
Block, 16750 links; and towards the North-west by
Allotment No. 81 of the Parish of Arai, the termina-
tion of a road-line, Allotments Nos. 79, 78, 44, 45,
and 46 of the Parish of Arai aforesaid, the termina-
tion of a road-line, Allotment No. 46 aforesaid, the
termination of a road-line, Allotments Nos. 64, 65,
66, 67, 68, 18, and 15 of the Parish of Arai aforesaid,
the termination of a road-line, Allotments Nos. 5 and
4 of the Parish of Arai aforesaid, the termination of
a road-line, Allotments Nos. 3, 2, and 1 of the Parish
of Arai aforesaid, and a line 5560 links, 51500 links,
and 14660 links.
PAKIRI NO. 3.
All that parcel of land at Mahurangi, in the Dis-
trict of Kaipara, in the Provincial District of Auck-
land, known by the name of Pakiri No. 3, containing
by admeasurement 9,766 acres, more or less.
Bounded towards the North-east by the Pakiri
No. 2 Block, 16750 links; towards the East by the
Hoteo River; towards the South and South-west by
Allotment No. 112 of the Parish of Tauhoa, a road-
