the under-mentioned persons, who shall be known as | Circuit Court to be held at Wanganui in November
the Meanee Domain Board:β
JAMES NELSON WILLIAMS,
WILLIAM BIRCH,
CECIL AUGUSTUS FITZROY,
CHARLES BASSELL WINTER, and
JOHN COMMONS MCVAY
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,β
- The Board shall meet for the transaction of
business on the first Monday in each month, at two
o'clock p.m., at the Provincial Council Chamber,
Napier, or at such other time or place as may from
time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meet-
ing shall be held on Monday, the first day of Novem-
ber, one thousand eight hundred and eighty. - Special meetings may be convened by the
Chairman, or by any two members of the Board, pro-
vided that two days' notice of such meeting be given
to each member, specifying the business to be trans-
acted at such special meeting, and no other business
than that so specified shall be transacted at such
meeting. - Any three of the said Board shall form a
quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time
to time. - The members of the Board shall, at their first
meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be
held on the first Monday in January in every suc-
ceeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to
be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and
shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The
Chairman shall hold office until the election of his
successor. - If at any meeting the Chairman is not present
at the time appointed for holding the same, the mem-
bers present shall choose some one of their number
to be Chairman of such meeting. - If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or other-
wise, the office of Chairman shall be or become
vacant, the members may at any monthly or special
meeting appoint a Chairman. - All questions shall be determined by the ma-
jority of votes of the members of the Board present
at a meeting.

Approving Plan of Extension of Patea Breakwater.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifth day of October, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS a plan, marked M.D. 114, of a break-
water to be made at Patea on the east side
of the Patea River by the Patea Harbour Board,
was approved in Council on the sixteenth day of July,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-eight: And
whereas it is proposed by the Patea Harbour Board
to extend the said breakwater, and it has been made
to appear to the Governor in Council that the said
extension will not be or tend to the injury of
navigation :
Now, therefore, the Administrator of the Govern-
ment of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, doth hereby approve of the plans
marked M.D. 413 and 414 of the proposed extension
of the aforesaid breakwater.

Circuit Court to be held at Wanganui in November
next.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifth day of October, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Supreme Court Act, 1860,"
it is enacted that there shall be held Circuit
Courts for the despatch of civil and criminal business
of the Court, before one of the Judges thereof, at
such places and times as the Governor in Council
may from time to time appoint:
And whereas by Order in Council made the first
day of November, in the year one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-one, the Governor appointed
Circuit Courts to be held within the Wellington
District, at the Courthouse at Wanganui, on the
fourth Monday in each of the months of April and
October in each and every year:
And whereas it is expedient that a Circuit Court
of the Supreme Court should be held at Wanganui
on Tuesday, the second day of November next, in
lieu of the Circuit Court appointed by the said recited
Order in Council to be held at Wanganui on Monday,
the twenty-fifth day of October instant:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in pursuance and exercise
of the power and authority vested in him by "The
Supreme Court Act, 1860," doth hereby revoke the
said in part recited Order in Council so far, but so far
only, as the same appoints a Circuit Court of the
Supreme Court to be held in the Wellington District
on the fourth Monday in October instant at the Court-
house at Wanganui; and doth hereby appoint that, in
lieu of the Circuit Court so appointed to be held,
there shall be held in the said district, at the Court-
house at Wanganui, on Tuesday, the second day of
November next, a Circuit Court for the despatch of
civil and criminal business of the said Court.

Fixing Date of Sitting of Court of Appeal.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifth day of October, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by "The Court of Appeal Act, 1862,"
and "The Court of Appeal Act Amendment
Act, 1870," it is enacted that the Court shall hold its
sittings at such times and places as shall be from
time to time fixed by the Governor in Council, and
proclaimed in the Government Gazette thirty days at
least before the times so fixed respectively:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby fix that a
sitting of the Court of Appeal of New Zealand shall
be held within the Supreme Courthouse, in the City
of Wellington, upon the fifteenth day of November,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty, at eleven
o'clock in the forenoon.
