Terms and Conditions of Sale of the Longridge
Village Settlement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
fifth day of October, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twenty-first section of "The
Land Act 1877 Amendment Act, 1879," it is
enacted that the Governor in Council may fix the
terms and conditions upon which the lands comprised
in any village settlement shall be disposed of, and
the mode of payment for the same: And whereas
the Administrator of the Government has, by Pro-
clamation in the New Zealand Gazette, bearing date
this fifth day of October, set apart the lands
enumerated in the Schedule hereto for sale as a
village settlement:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government, in pursuance and exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred upon him by the
hereinbefore in part recited Act, and by and with the
advice of the Executive Council of the Colony of
New Zealand, doth hereby fix the following terms
and conditions upon which the said village settlement
shall be disposed of, and the mode of payment for
the same, that is to say,-
- The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto
shall be disposed of as village allotments. - The day upon which the lands shall be open for
application shall be Thursday, the eleventh day of
November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty,
at the Land Office, Invercargill. - The lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto
shall be sold for cash immediately on purchase. - No person shall be allowed to acquire more
than one section. - The prices stated in the Schedule hereto shall
be the prices at which the lands shall be sold. - If there should be more than one application
for any village allotment offered for cash, the said
allotment will be put up to auction amongst the
applicants.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the provisions and requirements of
the eighth section of "The Public Reserves
Act Amendment Act, 1878," have been duly com-
plied with in respect of the lands described in the
first column of the Schedule hereto: And whereas
notices in the Gazette have been duly published for
four consecutive weeks, and laid before both Houses
of the Assembly, as provided by the ninth section of
the said Act: And whereas no resolution of either
House of Assembly has been passed that such House
does not concur in the intention declared in any such
notices:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, Chief
Justice of the Colony of New Zealand, and Ad-
ministrator of the Government thereof, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, and in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the ninth
section of the Act aforesaid, do hereby define the
change of purpose of the lands described in the first
column of the Schedule hereto to be from that named
in the second column of the Schedule to those named
in the third column of the Schedule hereto respec-
tively.
