NOTICE is hereby given that a statutory declara-
tion of the loss of certificate of title to
JAMES MCCABE of Allotment 54, Parish of
Mangapiko, and being the whole of the land included
in Vol. xxx., folio 76 of the Register-book, having
been filed in this office, and application having been
made for the issue of a provisional certificate for
the same, it is my intention to issue such certificate,
unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same on or

Mining Notices.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
Switzer's, 13th September, 1880.
To the Mining Registrar of Waikaia, of the Switzer's
Mining District, and all other persons whom it
may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race for mining purposes, commencing
at a point out of Shepherd's Creek, and in the free-
hold property of Mr. Donald McKenzie, Waikaka,
and terminating at the back of Frank Smith and Co.'s
claim, above the Waikaka Township. The length of
such race is one mile or thereabouts, and its intended
course is north and south. The mean depth and
breadth of such race is 1 foot by 18 inches, and it is
proposed to divert two sluice-heads of water, and the
time estimated for the completion of such race is two
months.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.
To the Mining Registrar at Roxburgh of the Dun-
stan Mining District, and all other persons whom
it may concern.
TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
Water-race and divert water for supplying the
inhabitants of the Borough of Roxburgh, com-
mencing at a point in No. 2 Gully, about 3 chains
above the road, on Section 7, Block X., Teviot Dis-
trict, taking in its course the water from No. 1 Gully,
and terminating at the Clutha River (known as the
Island). The length of such race is two and a half
miles or thereabouts, and its intended course is along
an old race, already constructed, running through
Section 16, Block XX., Town of Roxburgh; Section
27, Block II., Teviot District; Sections 1, 3, 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10, Block XXIV., Town of Roxburgh; thence
across the main road through the Roxburgh Recrea-
tion Reserve to its termination on the bank of the
Clutha River. The mean depth and breadth of such
race is 18 inches by 2 feet, and it is proposed to
divert two Government-heads of water.
