Gold-Mining Lease refused.
Crown Lands Office,
Nelson, 7th September, 1880.

N OTICE is hereby given that the gold-mining
lease applied for by John Galway and party
for 5 acres 2 roods 11 perches, at Try Again Terrace,
Nelson Creek, has been refused, and that the ground
is now open to persons holding miners' rights or
business licenses, as if a lease of the said ground had
not been applied for.

Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
IN N conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regula-
tions made under that Act for the granting of leases
for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified that it
is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands for gold-
mining purposes to the applicant specified in the
annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid objec-
tions against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Charleston on or
before the 23rd day of September, 1880.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Charleston.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: John Fox. Style under which it is
intended to conduct the business: "The Noonday
Gold-Mining Company." 4 acres, at Whisky Terrace,
Charleston, in the Nelson South-West Mining
District.

leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended to
grant a lease of Crown lands for copper-mining
purposes to the applicant specified in the annexed
Schedule, unless there shall be valid objections
against such lease.

Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writ-
ing, and lodged with the Commissioner of Crown
Lands, Dunedin, on or before the 12th day of
October, 1880.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Crown Lands Office at Dunedin.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: George Watson. Area, 74 acres and
33 perches, in the Tuapeka Mining District, being
Section 1, Block VIII., Tuapeka East. Term re-
quired, thirty years.

the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act, 1870,"
