Highway District; and I declare that the boundaries
of the said district shall be those described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, bounded towards the North and
West by the Wanstead Highway District, from
Block LXXX., Takapau Survey District, to Block
XXX., Pourerere Survey District; thence towards
the North-east by said Block XXX., by Blocks
XXVIII., IX., XXVI., XXV., III., II., IIA., and
again by Block III., to Black Head; thence towards
the South-east by the sea and the Porangahau River;
towards the South by Sections Nos. 25, 8, 62, 63,
64, 65, and 61, by Block LXXVI., and by Sections
Nos. 78 and 79, all of the Porangahau Survey District,
to the Porangahau River, across that river by the
Mangaorapa and Tangarua Streams to the source of
the last-named stream, thence by a right line through
Trig. Station 27 to the south-western corner of Block
LXXVII., Mangatoro Survey District, and thence
by the Mangapuaka Block; and towards the West
by the Wangai River, the Taurekaitai Stream, and
Block LXXX. aforesaid: as the same is delineated
on the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Napier.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of September,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

Waipawa.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
UNDER and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by an Ordinance of the
Province of Hawke's Bay, intituled "The Highways
Act, 1871," and by "The Abolition of Provinces Act,
1875," I, Hercules George Robert Robinson, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
create that portion of the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay described in the Schedule hereto a
highway district, under the said "Highways Act,
1871," by the distinctive name of the Wanstead
Highway District; and I declare that the boundaries
of the said district shall be those described in the
Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Hawke's Bay, bounded towards the North-east by
Blocks XLII., XXXIX., XL. and by the southern
boundary of last-mentioned block produced till it
intersects a line being the south-western boundary of
Block LXXXVII. produced, thence by a right line
to said block, thence by that block and by Blocks
LXXXVI., XLVIII., and LV., Motuotaraiia Survey
District, by Blocks XLVII. and XXX., Pourerere
Survey District; towards the East by Block LXXIV.
of said district to the Huatokitoki Stream; towards
the South by that stream, by the Taurekaitai, Manga-
ongaonga, and Mangapora Streams to the Purimu
Lake, thence by that lake and the Purimu Stream to
Block LXXXI., Takapau Survey District; and
towards the West by that block and the Ngahape
Stream to Block XLII.: as the same is delineated on
the plan deposited in the Survey Office, Napier.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this third day of September,

Warrant appointing additional Polling-place.
HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.
To ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME,
GREETING:
WHEREAS by "The Regulation of Elections
Act, 1870," it is enacted that it shall be
lawful for the Governor, by warrant under his hand,
from time to time to appoint polling-places for each
electoral district within or within one mile of the
limits thereof, and to appoint any one of such polling-
places to be the principal polling-place for the district,
and all or any of such polling-places from time to
time to abolish, and, if he think fit, to appoint other
polling-places in lieu of those abolished, and that
every such warrant shall be published in the New
Zealand Gazette: Provided always that no polling-
place shall be appointed by the Governor under the
said Act unless he shall be first satisfied that the
place to be appointed is more convenient than any
other for at least twenty electors to record their
votes thereat:
Now know ye that I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of New Zealand, in pur-
suance of the power and authority in me vested by
the said Act, do hereby appoint the following place
to be an additional polling-place for the electoral
district hereinafter specified, for the election of
members of the House of Representatives, namely :β

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint

lington, this third day of September, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.

Public Vaccinators appointed.

Wellington, 2nd September, 1880.
It is hereby notified that, under the provisions of
"The Public Health Act, 1872," His Excellency
the Governor has been pleased to appoint the under-
mentioned gentlemen to be Public Vaccinators to
perform gratuitous vaccination in accordance with the
provisions of the said Act, and any regulations made
or to be made thereunder, for the districts mentioned
in the Schedule hereto, and set opposite their names.
