Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to
be paid at time of sale, and the balance within one
month thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-
money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and
the contract for the sale of the land shall hencefor-
ward be null and void.

Description of Land.—Block IX.: Section 1, about
90 acres swamp, 40 acres fern and scrub, undulating,
140 acres alluvial flat tea-tree, accessible by water;
Section 2, about 40 acres swamp, 84 acres fern and
scrub, undulating; Section 4, about 100 acres swamp,
20 acres rich fern land, 200 acres alluvial flats, aces-
sible by water; Section 5, about 60 acres rich fern
land, nearly level, remainder alluvial flat, covered
with light tea-tree, accessible by water; Section 6,
about 8 acres, slight rise, remainder alluvial flat,
covered with high tea-tree, accessible by water. Block
XII., Section 1, 40 acres swamp, remainder rather
broken, good light soil, about half covered with light
bush, two and a half miles from landing. Block
XIII.: Section 1, 70 acres swamp, remainder fern
land, 150 acres nearly level, one mile from landing-
place; Section 2, 10 acres swamp, 20 acres light
bush, containing pohutukawa, &c., 120 acres fern
land, nearly level, two miles from landing; Section
3, 140 acres swamp, remainder undulating fern hills,
accessible from landing one mile. These lands are
about two and a half miles from Helensville.
NOTE.—Those sections for which more than one
application has been received on the 24th September
will be decided by auction at the Crown Lands
Office, Auckland, at noon on the following day.
Plans may be seen, and further particulars of the
land obtained, on application at this office.
CONDITIONS.
No person can select more than one section.
Deposit of one-twentieth of the price of the land
to be tendered with application.

Payments: Twenty equal instalments, payable one
each on the 1st January and the 1st July of each
year for ten years.
Improvements: Selector must bring into cultiva-
tion not less than one-twentieth of area the first
year, one-tenth the second year, and within six years
must have cultivated one-fifth, and effected perma-
nent improvements to the value of £1 for every acre.
The selector has the option, at any time after the
first three years, of discharging all his obligations
by paying up the balance of the purchase-money
in one payment, provided he has effected the im-
provements.
Residence on the land by the selector is compulsory
for a period of six years from the issue of license.

immediately on purchase.
The prices stated in the Schedule shall be the
prices at which the lands shall be open for applica-
tion.
No person shall be allowed to acquire more than
one section.
N.B.—The above lands are adjoining the Tuakau
Railway Station.
Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
I IT is hereby notified that it is intended to grant a
lease for gold-mining purposes for the area and
to the applicants specified in the annexed Schedule.
