Road from Stony River to the Waingongoro River
declared to be a Highway.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power vested in
me by "The West Coast Settlement (North
Island) Act, 1880," and of all other powers and
authorities in this behalf enabling me, I, Sir Hercules
George Robert Robinson, Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, do, by this notice in the Gazette,
declare that the road hereunder described is a high-
way.

DESCRIPTION OF ROAD ABOVE REFERRED TO.

All that parcel of land situate in the Provincial
District of Taranaki, being the road-line, 1 chain
wide and about 44 miles long, from the Stony River
(Hangatahua), near Okato, and extending along the
surveyed and partly constructed highway past
Punehu, Ngakumikumi, and Kaikatahi, until it
reaches the formed road near Opunake; thence along
the said road last mentioned to the Waingongoro
River: as the same is delineated on the plans de-
posited in the Survey Office, New Plymouth.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this first day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty.
