LAND TAKEN FOR ROAD, WAIPORI ROAD DISTRICT.
NOTICE is hereby given, in terms of section 22 of
"The Public Works Act, 1876," of the Wai-
pori Road Board's intention of taking, for a public
road, 1 acre and 64 perches of Section 14, Block II.;
1 acre and 9 perches of Section 1 of 16, Block II.;
and 3 acres 1 rood 32 perches of Section 9, Block
VI.; all in the Maungatua Survey District, Taieri
County, Provincial District of Otago. Plan of the
proposed road can be seen at my house; and any
person objecting to the taking of the said lands
as above specified must send such objections in
writing, addressed to the Chairman of the Waipori
Road Board, Post Office, Berwick, within forty days
from this date.

LAND TAKEN FOR ROAD, MANGONUI DISTRICT.
"PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1876."
NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of
"The Public Works Act, 1876," a plan show-
ing a road which the Mangonui County Council pro-
pose to take through a parcel of land situate in the
Survey District of Mangonui, Provincial District of
Auckland, being portion of the grant to J. P. Lloyd,
is deposited for inspection at the house of William
Garton, at the Hihi, in the Oruaiti Highway District.
The general description of the works proposed to
be executed is to form a new line of road, 100 links
wide, from Mangonui Harbour to Doubtless Bay.
The land required to be taken is bounded generally
South-westerly by lines 1192 and 1190 links respec-
tively, by a stream, and by the sea, 1160 links;
thence generally North-easterly by lines, 756, 374,
1500, and 1156 links respectively; thence South-
easterly by public road to commencing point, 100
links.
All persons affected by the proposed road are
hereby called upon and required to set forth in
writing any well-grounded objection to the execution
of such works or to the taking of such land, and to
send such writing, within forty days from the first
publication of this notice, to the said Mangonui
County Council.

GISBORNE FREEMASONS' HALL COMPANY
(LIMITED).
NOTICE is hereby given that, at an extraordinary
meeting of the above Company, held
on the 16th day of July ultimo, a special resolution
was passed, "That the Gisborne Freemasons' Hall
Company (Limited) be wound up voluntarily," which
resolution was confirmed at a subsequent meeting
held on the 19th day of August, 1880, when it was
further resolved, "That Thomas William Porter be
appointed Liquidator."

MEDICAL PRACTITIONER'S REGISTRATION.
To the Registrar-General of the Colony of New
Zealand.
I, PATRICK CONNOLLY, Licentiate of the
Royal College of Surgeons, Ireland, Licentiate
of the King and Queen's College of Physicians, Ire-
land, and Licentiate in Midwifery of the King and
Queen's College of Physicians, Ireland, now residing
in Wanganui, hereby give you notice that it is my
intention to apply to you, on the 21st September,
1880, to have my name placed on the Medical Regis-
ter for the Colony of New Zealand; and that I have
deposited my evidence of qualification in the Regis-
trar-General's Office for public inspection.

MEDICAL PRACTITIONER'S REGISTRATION.
To the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages,
Dunedin.
I, JOHN HUGH MACKENZIE, Fellow of the
Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh (17th
day of May, 1880), residing in Dunedin, hereby give
notice that I intend to apply, within thirty days from
date hereof, to have my name registered as a Medical
Practitioner under "The Medical Practitioners' Re-
gistration Act, 1869;" and that I have deposited my
diplomas, with a copy of this notice, in the office of
the Registrar for the District of Dunedin for public
inspection, in terms of section 14 of said Act.

nated by the death of George Hunter, on the
6th August, 1880.
