Description of Land. Lots 115, 116, and 117,
undulating, partly open; Lot 414, two-thirds swamp,
soil light, sandy on hills, two or three patches of
scrub; Lot 415, part swamp, about 15 acres light
mixed bush; Lot 416, one-third swamp, about 30
acres light mixed bush; Lot 417, about one-half
swamp, 10 acres light mixed bush. The swamp in
these sections is nearly all capable of being drained.
These sections are accessible on each side by a beach
road about nine miles from Opotiki. Lot 432,
principally light mixed forest, about 15 acres
scrub and fern, very broken, well watered;
Lot 434, two-thirds mixed bush, remainder open
fern land, light soil; Lot 435, undulating, about
1 acre kahikatea, 8 acres manuka swamp, part fern,
two-thirds swamp; Lots 436 and 437, three-fourths
marsh, remainder light sandy soil; Lot 438, about
7 acres first-class, remainder second-class, soil good;
Lot 439, southern portion of land of fair quality,
northern portion sand-hills; Lots 436, 437, 438, and
439 are situated on the Kopurau Island, at the mouth
of the Waioeka River; Lot 440, 3 acres of grass and
fern, remainder bush; Lot 441, $1\frac{1}{2}$ acres of grass,
remainder valuable manuka bush, suitable for fuel
or fencing purposes, 25 acres of flat land, remainder
broken; Lots 440 and 441 are situated on the Wai-
oeka River.

NOTE.--Plans may be seen, and further particulars
of the land obtained, on application at this office, and
at the Survey Office, Tauranga.

Terms of Sale: One-fourth of purchase-money to
be paid at time of sale, and the balance within one
month thereafter, otherwise the part of the purchase-
money paid by way of deposit shall be forfeited, and
the contract for the sale of the land shall hence-
forward be null and void.

Crown-grant fee to be paid on completion of
purchase.

N OTICE is hereby given that the under-mentioned
allotments of land in the Township of Ormond-
ville will be offered for sale by public auction, at the
Council Chamber, Napier, on Wednesday, the 1st
September next, at the hour of 11 o'clock in the
forenoon.

Description. - The township is situated on the
Napier-Manawatu Railway-line, opposite the station-
house at Ormondville. It is connected by a metalled
road with the coach route between the East and West
Coasts. The surrounding country has been taken up
on the deferred-payment system. Ormondville is the
outlet of 8,000 acres of occupied lands and 5,000
acres of Crown lands. The census for 1878 gives a
population of 718 people for the Ormondville and
Norsewood Districts.

The Crown lands in the locality will be placed in
the market at an early date.

NOTE.-Plans may be seen, and further particu-
lars of the land obtained, on application at this
office.

to be paid at time of sale, and the balance, with Crown-
grant fees, within one month thereafter.

N OTICE is hereby given that the several parcels of
land hereinafter described will be brought
under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within one month after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice.
