trict), being one of the railways specified in "The
Public Works Act, 1879," was defined: And whereas
pursuant to the one hundred and twenty-fifth section
of "The Public Works Act, 1876," the Minister for
Public Works has caused to be made and, on the
twenty-eighth day of July, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty, to be deposited in the office of the Re-
gistrar of the Supreme Court at New Plymouth, such
maps and plans as were necessary to explain the
said portion of the said line of railway and the land
through which the same passes, and such maps and
plans were referred to in such Proclamation as afore-
said: And whereas "The Public Works Act, 1879,"
enacts that such of the railways mentioned therein
as are unfinished be completed under the pro-
visions of "The Public Works Act, 1876," "The
Public Works Act 1876. Amendment Act, 1878,"
and "The Public Works Act, 1879:" And whereas
the land described in the Schedule hereto is required
to be taken for a further portion of the said line of
railway:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers
and authorities conferred by the sixth section of
"The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
and of every power and authority in that behalf, doth
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is taken for the said further
portion of the said line of railway.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 5 acres 2 roods, more or less, situated
in the Survey District of Huiroa, being portion of
Section No. 10, Manganui Block, commencing at the
north-easternmost corner of said section. Bounded-
Northerly by the Manganui River, 6 chains; Westerly
and South-westerly by other portions of Section No.
10; 470, 610, and 310 links respectively; Southerly
by other portions of Section No. 10 aforesaid, 93
links; Easterly by the western boundary of the
Mountain Road to commencing point, 634, 313, and
150 links respectively: the same being more par-
ticularly delineated upon the plan marked P.W.D
7858, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works at Wellington.

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of July, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.

A PROCLAMATION.

W
HEREAS a certain railway was proclaimed in
the New Zealand Gazette of the twenty-seventh
day of May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
one, under the name of the Dunedin and Clutha Rail-
way, and the said railway now forms part of the
Waitaki-Bluff Railway: And whereas the land de-
scribed in the Schedule hereto is required for the
said railway:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by virtue and in pur-
suance of the power conferred upon him by the sixth
and fourteenth sections of "The Public Works Act
1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of every other
power enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby de-
clare and proclaim that the said land so described in
the Schedule hereto is taken for the said railway.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land containing by admeasurement
1 rood, being the whole of Section No. 7, Block II.,
in the Township of Waihola, in the Provincial District
of Otago, as the same is more particularly delineated
upon the plan marked P.W.D. 7829, deposited in the
office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wel-
lington.

Given under the hand of His Excellency

A PROCLAMATION.

W
HEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Allotment number
nineteen, Parish of Kaukapakapa, Kaukapakapa Road
District, County of Rodney:

And whereas the Kaukapakapa Road Board has
laid before the Governor the memorial and map
mentioned in and signed and certified as required by
the said Acts:

Now, therefore, 1, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by sections
twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three, twenty-four,
and twenty-five of "The Public Works Act, 1876,"
and by section twenty-eight of "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," and of any other
power and authority enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described
in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the pur-
poses of a road; and that, from and after the fifth
day of August, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty, the land so described shall become absolutely
vested in fee-simple in Her Majesty, discharged
from all mortgages, charges, claims, estates, and
interests of what kind soever, for use as a road.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
admeasurement 2 acres 2 roods 31 perches, more
or less, situate in the Survey District of Kaipara,
Provincial District of Auckland, being portion of
Allotment No. 19, Parish of Kaukapakapa; com.
