THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.
- The hirer to find covering-shed for the
machinery. - The engineer in charge will deliver to the hirer
an accurate account of the depths of the borings,
and all cores of rocks bored will be the property of
the hirer. - The machine will be removed if the hirer causes
any unreasonable delays or obstacles to prevent its
continuous working, or if payment for its hire is not
regularly made.

PURSUANT to the provisions of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand, passed in
the eighteenth year of the reign of Her Majesty
Queen Victoria, and intituled "The Marriage Act,
1854," the following names of Officiating Ministers
within the meaning of the said Act are published for
general information :-

Crown Lands Notices.
Gold-Mining Lease to be granted.
PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.
IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the re-
gulations made under that Act for the granting of
leases for gold-mining purposes, it is hereby notified
that it is intended to grant a lease of Crown lands
for gold-mining purposes to the applicant specified
in the annexed Schedule, unless there shall be valid
objections against such lease.
Objections to the granting of such lease, stating
the grounds of objection, must be made in writing,
and lodged with the Warden at Queenstown on or
before the 22nd day of June, 1880.
Copy of the application made and plan annexed
may be seen at the Warden's Office at Queenstown.
SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: William Lovell Davis. Style under
which it is intended to conduct the business: "Right
Bower Company." 5 acres, in the Wakatipu Mining
District.
Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this first
day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
