NOTICE.—HUGH HENRY OULD, of Sydney, in the
Colony of New South Wales, an Attorney of
the Supreme Court of the said colony, has been
appointed by his Honor the Chief Justice a Com-
missioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in
the said colony, under the second section of "The
Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875," for
the purpose of administering and taking all such
oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said section
mentioned.

Mineral Lease to be granted.

PUBLIC NOTIFICATION.

IN conformity with the thirty-seventh section of
"The Mines Act, 1877," and with the regulations
made under that Act for the granting of mineral
leases, it is hereby notified that it is intended, after
the expiration of thirty days from the publication of
this notice, to grant a lease for coal-mining purposes
to the applicant, and for the area specified in the
annexed Schedule.

Copy of the application made, together with papers
and plan, may be seen at the Crown Lands Office,
Dunedin.

SCHEDULE.
APPLICANT: James Holt, of Clyde. Area: 19 acres
2 roods 28 perches. Locality: Sections 130, 131,
and 132, Block II., Leaning Rock District. Proposed
term: 30 years. Mining District: Dunstan.

Given under my hand, at Dunedin, this thir-
teenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

Wellington, 6th May, 1880.

THE under-mentioned sections, not having been
purchased at the late auction, will, by direction
of the Land Board, be open to purchase on applica-
tion at the Land Office on and after Monday, the
14th day of June, 1880, viz.: 4 sections, Horokiwi
Valley, 17 sections, Taratahi Plain, 4 sections, Wai-
poua, 25 sections, Rangitumau, 43 sections, Pahaua,
16 sections, Whareama, and 6 sections, Awhea
Blocks, and 8 sections, Waitotara District, at the
upset price of 10s. per acre; one-fourth to be paid
on application, and the balance in one month. Maps
can be seen and full particulars obtained at this
office.
