to be Deputy Property-Tax Commissioner for the

to be Deputy Registrar of Deeds for the Deeds
Registration District of Auckland, and Chief Clerk
in the Land Transfer Office at Auckland. Appoint-
ment to date from 1st May, 1880.

JAMES DENIS KELLY, Esq.,
to be Deputy Registrar of Deeds for the Deeds
Registration District of Hawke's Bay, and Chief
Clerk in the Land Transfer Office at Napier. Ap-
pointment to date from 1st May, 1880.

FREDERICK CHARLES RAIF EVANS, Esq.,
to be Deputy Registrar of Deeds for the Deeds
Registration District of Southland. Appointment to
date from 1st April, 1880.

trict of Maketu.

East, Wairarapa West, Manawatu, Rangitikei, Wa-
nganui, Patea, and Kaikoura; also, for the purposes
of "The Harbours Act, 1878," in respect of the
Harbour Boards of Patea, Wanganui, Foxton, and
Castlepoint; and of the Treasurers of all Local
Boards constituted under "The Local Boards Act,
1873" (Wellington).

pursuance of clause 17 in the Schedule to "The
Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1879," His Excel-
lency the Governor has been pleased to appoint

EDWARD PEARCE, Lieutenant-Colonel, Com-
manding Wellington Volunteer District,
to be a Trustee of the Wellington Volunteer Drill-
shed Reserve; and that

WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Captain of the
D Battery of Artillery, and
Hon. GEORGE RANDALL JOHNSON, Captain of
the Wellington Guards,
have been elected by the Volunteer Force of the
district as Trustees for the said reserve.
