NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE
OF THURSDAY, MARCH 18, 1880.

WELLINGTON, TUESDAY, MARCH 23, 1880.
31st March to be a Bank Holiday and 1st April
to be a Bank Half-holiday throughout the Pro-
vincial District of Taranaki.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and
authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Her-
cules George Robert Robinson, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that, by an Order in Council made under the
provisions of "The Bank Holidays Act, 1873," and
"The Bank Holidays Amendment Act, 1878," and
bearing even date herewith, I have declared that
Wednesday, the thirty-first day of March instant,
shall be a bank holiday, and Thursday, the first day
of April next, shall be a bank half-holiday from the
hour of noon, throughout the Provincial District of
Taranaki, under and for the purposes of the said
Acts.
Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-third day of March, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
