SLEE V. EVANS AND HIS WIFE.
I HEREBY give notice that, under a writ of fieri
facias, duly issued out of the Supreme Court of
New Zealand, at the suit of FRANK SLEE, of Wai-
mate, in the County of Waimate, Licensed Land
Broker, I have taken in execution the fee-simple of
MARGARET EVANS, Wife of ROBERT EVANS, of Wai-
mate aforesaid, Blacksmith, and the life estate of the
said Robert Evans, in all that parcel of land situated
in the Waitangi District (i.e., at Waimate aforesaid),
containing thirty-two perches, being the land described
in certificate of title, Vol. xv., folio 79: And that
I intend to cause the same to be sold at the auction-
rooms of George Randall Freeman, at Waimate
aforesaid, on the twenty-second day of May, 1880,
at eleven o'clock in the forenoon.
The Solicitors for the Execution Creditor are
Messieurs White and Jameson, of Timaru.

that I have this day deposited evidence of my quali-
fication with the Registrar of the Christchurch Dis-
trict, and that I intend to apply to be registered
under the New Zealand Medical Act in one month
from date hereof.

TRANSFER OF BUSINESS.
NOTICE is hereby given that I have this day sold
and transferred to EDWARD WILLIAM KNOWLES
all my interest in the partnership business hitherto
carried on by Thomas Kennedy Newton, the said
Edward William Knowles, and myself, as Proprietors
of the Daily Telegraph and Weekly Mercury News
papers, and that I have retired from the said business.

TRANSFER OF BUSINESS.
NOTICE is hereby given that we have purchased
the business hitherto carried on by Lionel
Nathaniel Benjamin, on Lambton Quay, Wellington,
as Watchmaker and Jeweller, under the style of
"Kohn and Co.," and also his stock-in-trade, book
debts, and premises.
The business will be carried on in future on our
account, under the same style, by Mr. Carl Kohn.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Partnership
subsisting, prior to the thirty-first day of
March last, between the undersigned JOHN CARGILL,
EDWARD BOWES CARGILL, HENRY JAMES GIBBS,
and GEORGE JOACHIM, as Merchants and Agents,
carrying on business together in Dunedin and Inver-
cargill under the style or firm of "Cargills, Gibbs,
and Company," and in London under the style or
firm of "Cargills, Joachim, and Company," was dis-
solved, as from that date, so far as concerned the said
John Cargill, by his retirement therefrom: And
notice is hereby also given that the business of the
said firms has been and will be carried on, as from the
said thirty-first day of March last, by the said Edward
Bowes Cargill, Henry James Gibbs, and George
Joachim, in New Zealand, under the said style or
firm of "Cargills, Gibbs, and Company," and in
London under the style or firm of "Cargills, Joachim,
and Company;" that all debts and obligations of
the old firms will be paid and discharged by the new
firms, who are authorized and entitled to receive
all moneys owing to the old firms.

NOTICE.
THE Partnership hitherto existing between the
undersigned HENRY ROBERTS CLARK and
ROBERT WILLIAM CAWSTON, carrying on business
in Dunedin as Laundrymen, has this day been
dissolved by mutual consent.
All debts will be paid and accounts received by
the undersigned Henry Roberts Clark, who will
continue to carry on the business alone, and whose
receipt alone will be a sufficient discharge.
