Application for Registration of a Trade Mark.

Wellington, 2nd March, 1880.
NOTICE is hereby given that ALFRED HENRY
SHELTON, of Great King Streeet, Dunedin, in
the Colony of New Zealand, Boot Manufacturer,
has applied to register under "The Trade Marks Act,
1866," the trade mark of which the following is a
description, viz:-
Description of Trade Mark.
A shield, containing two parallel lines from top to
bottom, and two parallel lines from side to side.
Between the upright lines the word "Solid" appears,
and between the lines across the word "Value;"
the letter "L" of each word being placed in a
square in the centre of the lines; the word "Solid"
reading downwards, and the word "Value" across
the shield. In the left-hand corner of the shield is
placed a capital letter "S."
Nature of the Articles to which it is intended such
Trade Mark shall apply.

Time and Place for first Meeting of Halcombe Local

HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint Friday, the 5th day of March
at 1 o'clock in the afternoon, to be the time, and
the office of the Emigrant and Colonist's Aid
Corporation, Halcombe, to be the place, for the first
meeting of the Commissioners of the Halcombe
Local Board.

paku Highway District, the Totara Highway Dis-
trict, and the Kaeo Highway District.

pointed (Auckland and Canterbury).

Act, 1873," within the Provincial District of Auck-
land; and

RICHARD MONTGOMERY
to be Rangers under the said Act, within the Pro-
vincial District of Canterbury.
