PATENT FOR THE NEW ZEALAND PATENT PULP.

3rd February, 1880.

ARTHUR WILLIAM GEORGE SILBURN, of
Christchurch, New Zealand, Commercial Tra-
veller, has deposited at this office a specification
of the said invention; and I have appointed Friday,
the 14th day of May next, at 10 o'clock in the fore-
noon, at this office, to hear the said application and
all objections thereto; and I require all persons
having an interest in opposing the grant of such
Letters Patent to leave, on or before the 10th day of
May next, at this office, particulars in writing of
their objections to the said application, otherwise
they will be precluded from urging the same.

COUNTY OF WAIMATE.

Under the provisions of "The Public Works Act,
1876," "The Public Works Act 1876 Amendment
Act, 1878," and "The Public Works Act, 1879."

NOTICE is hereby given that the County Council
of the Waimate County proposes to take the
following parcels of land for public works.

SCHEDULE I.

ALL that area in the Waitaki Survey District,
Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement one (1) acre two (2) roods and
thirty-eight (38) perches, more or less, being a strip
of land one chain wide, and a part of reserve No.
1129 (in red), proposed to be used for road purposes,
extending from the northern boundary of said reserve
southerly to road-line forming part of the south-
eastern boundary of said reserve.

SCHEDULE II.

ALL that area in the Waimate Survey District,
Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement one (1) acre two (2) roods and
thirty-three (33) perches, more or less, being a
strip of land one chain wide, proposed to be used
for road purposes, extending from the western
boundary of R.S. No. 4724 easterly through said
section, and through Reserve No. 678 (in red), to the
eastern boundary of said reserve.

SCHEDULE III.

ALL that area in the Waimate Survey District,
Provincial District of Canterbury, containing by
admeasurement five (5) acres one (1) rood and two
(2) perches, more or less, being a strip of land one
chain wide, proposed to be used for road purposes,
extending from the south-western bank of the Wai-
mate Creek through Sections Nos. 995 and 996, and
4315, to the road-line forming the south-west
boundary of the last-named section (in red).

Plans of the above strips of land have been depo-
sited at the Council Chambers, Waimate, and are
now open for inspection.

WANGAEHU HIGHWAY BOARD.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF LAND PROPOSED TO BE
TAKEN FOR A ROAD IN THE WANGAEHU HIGH-
WAY DISTRICT, COUNTY OF WANGANUI.

THE Wangaehu Highway Board proposes to take
certain land under the provisions of "The
Public Works Act, 1876," for the purpose of open-
ing a road to connect that portion of the Putiki
Native Reserve now in the occupation of F. R.
Jackson, of Wanganui, with the No. 2 Line of Road.
The portion of land required to be so taken is situ-
ated in that part of the said Putiki Native Reserve
now in the occupation of D. G. Polson and others,
and at a distance along the No. 2 Line of Road of
14Β½ chains, more or less, from the north-east corner
of the freehold property of Mrs. Speed. The length
of the proposed road is 19Β½ chains or thereabouts,
and the width 40 links. A map showing the position
of the said land is now open for inspection at the
store of Mr. O. G. A. Harvey, Campbelltown. All
persons affected are hereby called upon to set forth
in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking
of such land, and to send such writing within forty
days from the first publication of this notice to
the above Board, at their office, in Ridgway Street,
Wanganui.

JAMES MURDOCH, Licentiate of Royal Col-
lege of Surgeons, Edinburgh, and Licentiate of
Royal College of Physicians, Edinburgh, now residing
at Timaru, in the Provincial District of Canterbury,
do hereby give notice that I intend to apply, at the
expiration of one month from the date hereof, for
registration under "The Medical Practitioners Regis-
tration Act, 1869," and that I have deposited the
evidence of my qualifications with the Registrar of
Births, Deaths, and Marriages, Christchurch, for
inspection in terms of the said Act.

HEREBY give notice that, under a writ of fieri
facias
, duly issued out of the Supreme Court at
the suit of WILLIAM EARP, of Porirua, Farmer, I
have taken in execution the leasehold interest of
SAMUEL PARKES, of the City of Wellington, Com-
mission Agent, in all that piece or parcel of land
situate in the said City of Wellington, and being the
Section numbered 282 on the official map or plan of
the said city, bounded on the North by Section
283, on the South by Section 281, on the East and
West by Cambridge Terrace and Section 274 re-
spectively, together with the appurtenances to the
same belonging or appertaining; and also the in-
terest of the said Samuel Parkes as a tenant in
common in the fee-simple in all that piece or parcel
of land situate in the Hutt District, containing ten
acres and thirty-two perches, more or less; bounded
towards the North, four hundred and thirty links;
the East, two thousand three hundred and seventy-
three links; and the South, four hundred and thirty
links, by other part of the under-mentioned section;
and towards the West, two thousand three hundred
and seventy-three links, by other part of the said
section, now used as a road; be the said several
linkages a little more or less; which said piece of
land is part of Section marked 5 delineated on the
public map of the said Hutt District, deposited in
the office of the Commissioner of Crown Lands,
