shall keep a book, in which he shall enter from time
to time the number of every lot sold, the name of
the purchaser thereof, together with the date of the
sale of the same, and shall keep a record of the
burials in the cemetery.
- In all cases of intended interment the person
having the management or control of the same shall
apply to the Clerk to the Cemetery for the time
being for a warrant for such interment, which war-
rant the Clerk is hereby authorized to grant upon
payment to him of the following fees, viz :-

The costs and charges of the burial of any
person in such cemetery will be remitted on proof
being given to the satisfaction of the Trustees that
there are no funds applicable, and no person liable
for the payment of costs and charges. -
Orders for interment must be given to the
sexton at least six working hours prior to the hour
fixed for the funeral, otherwise an extra charge of 5s.
will be made. The following particulars must accom-
pany the order :-

In event of any person wishing to purchase a
plot in any part of the cemetery not already plotted,
such person must pay all costs of survey by a
qualified surveyor. -
All monuments, graves, and gravestones must
be kept in repair and proper condition by and at the
expense of the owners. -
The record-book shall be open for the inspec-
tion of the public on paying a fee of 1s. for each
inspection. -
All charges made for any matter or thing
relating to the cemetery shall be paid for in advance. -
No body shall be disinterred, or removed from
the said cemetery, except by order from the Coroner,
without express permission in writing from the
Trustees. -
A sexton will from time to time be appointed
by the Trustees, whose duty it will be to dig all
graves required in the cemetery, and no other person
will be allowed to dig any grave therein without
express permission in writing from the Trustees. -
Grants of exclusive rights of burial in per-
petuity shall be made out in the Form A annexed to
the regulations, on payment of a fee of 1s. ; and all
necessary stamps must be supplied by the parties
applying for such right.

cemetery of Hororata, in the County of Selwyn, issued under
the provisions of the , and subject to the provisions of
any rules and regulations now or which may hereafter be passed
and gazetted relating to the said cemetery :-

THE following rules and regulations for the
Kimberley Cemetery, County of Selwyn, have
been submitted to His Excellency the Governor in
Council, and are published in accordance with "The
Cemeteries Management Act, 1877."
JOHN HALL.
BY-LAWS FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF KIMBERLEY
CEMETERY.
-
The Trustees appointed by the Governor under
"The Cemeteries Management Act, 1877," shall have
the entire control and management of the Kimberley
Cemetery. -
The Trustees have power by the said Act to
allocate portions of the cemetery to the various
religious denominations requiring the same. No
interference will be permitted with such allocations.
A portion of the cemetery will be set apart as open
ground for purposes of general interment. -
Persons desirous of obtaining an exclusive right
in any plot of ground in the cemetery, for the pur-
pose of making graves or family vaults, or erecting
monuments, may do so at a rate not exceeding 5s.
per square yard. Such persons shall receive the
following document, signed by the Trustees:---
KIMBERLEY CEMETERY.
RECEIVED from A.B., of , the sum of , for that
piece of ground, part of Kimberley Cemetery, at Kimberley,
No. on the plan of cemetery in the custody of the
Trustees, the said piece of ground to be held by the said A.B.
subject to the rules for the time being in force for the manage-
ment of the said cemetery.

Applications for this purpose may be made to
the Trustees or to the Secretary, or other person
authorized by them to receive the same. -
Every burial-plot shall be 9 feet by 4 feet, and
every grave shall be 6 feet in depth at the least. In
the event of the purchaser of private ground de-
siring a greater depth, an extra charge of 2s. 6d.
shall be made for every foot more than 6 feet. -
Any purchaser of private ground may transfer
his or her interest therein to any other person upon
payment of a fee of 5s. for such transfer.
