Land taken for Road in Sections 43, 44, and 45,
Block VI., North Harbour and Blueskin District,
County of Waikouaiti.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken under "The
Public Works Act, 1876," and "The Public Works
Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878," for a certain work,
to wit, the construction of a road in Sections forty-
three, forty-four, and forty-five, Block six, North
Harbour and Blueskin District, County of Wai-
kouaiti :
And whereas the Blueskin Road Board has laid
before the Governor the memorial and map mentioned
in and signed and certified as required by the said
Acts:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by
sections twenty-one, twenty-two, twenty-three,
twenty-four, and twenty-five of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," and by section twenty-eight of "The
Public Works Act 1876 Amendment Act, 1878,"
and of any other power and authority enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the
land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
taken for the purposes of a road; and that, from
and after the fifth day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty, the land so described
shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her
Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever, for
use as a road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece of land situate in the North Har-
bour and Blueskin District, County of Waikouaiti,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood, be
the same a little more or less, being parts of Sections
numbered respectively 43, 44, and 45, Block VI., in
the above district. Commencing at a point in the
southern boundary line of the said Section numbered
43, distant 670 links from the south-east corner, and
running thence in a north-westerly direction, 111
links; thence in a northerly direction, 76 links;
thence in a north-easterly direction, 100 links ;
thence in a northerly direction, 127 links; thence in
a north-westerly direction, 163 links; thence in a
westerly direction, 86 links; thence in a north-
westerly direction, 180 links; thence in a west-north-
westerly direction, 115 links; thence in a westerly
direction, 94 links; thence in a northerly direction,
151 and 233 links; thence in a north-westerly direc-
tion, 182 links; thence in a north-easterly direction,
122 and 228 links; thence in a north-north-easterly
direction, 97 links; thence along the boundary line
of the said Section numbered 45, 61 links; thence in
a south-westerly direction, 58, 197, and 203 links;
thence in a south-easterly direction, 246 links;
thence in a southerly direction, 202 and 226 links;
thence in an easterly direction, 167 links; thence in
a south-easterly direction, 86 links; thence in a
south-easterly direction, 188 links; thence in an
easterly direction, 83 links; thence in a south-
easterly direction, 111 links; thence in a southerly
direction, 86 links; thence in a south-westerly direc-
tion, 97 links; thence in a southerly direction, 127
links; thence in a south-easterly direction, 87 links ;
thence along the boundary line of the said Section
numbered 43, 84 links: be the aforesaid linkages
either more or less; the above particulars being
delineated in the map attached to the memorial
referred to.

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
thirty-first day of January, in the year
of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eighty.
