NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE

Operation of Sections of "Sheep Act, 1878," further
suspended in Marlborough and in Amuri.-Notice
No. 81.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in pursuance of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the second section
of "The Sheep Act, 1878," and of all other powers
and authorities enabling me in that behalf, I, Arthur
Hamilton Gordon, Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby proclaim and order that, in the
subdivisions of the Marlborough Sheep District, in-
cluding the Amuri Subdivision, as the same are
constituted by Proclamation under the said Act,
dated the twenty-third day of September, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine, being
within, or partly within, the Provincial Districts of
Marlborough and Nelson, the operation of sections
twenty-five and twenty-six of "The Sheep Act, 1878,"
shall be and is hereby suspended until the thirty-first
day of December, one thousand eight hundred and
eighty-one inclusive; and I do hereby further declare
that the exercise of this present authority shall not
be deemed to preclude me from similarly suspending
the operation of either of the aforesaid sections of the
said Act for a further period within the same sub-
divisions, if it shall be found necessary so to do.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-second day of December, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.

Appointing Districts and Registrars under "The Brands and Branding Act, 1880."-Notice No. 80.

A. GORDON, Governor.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Brands and Branding
Act, 1880," His Excellency the Governor doth hereby appoint the several parts of the colony
described in the first Schedule hereto, together with all islands adjacent thereto respectively, to be districts
for the purposes of the aforesaid Act, and the several persons and places named in the said Schedule to be
Registrars and registration offices respectively for the same purposes within the said districts.
And also the Governor doth likewise hereby appoint the persons and places named in the Second
Schedule to be Chief Registrars and chief registration offices respectively for the several districts mentioned
in the said Schedule, and set opposite to each such name respectively.

ERRATA. -In the New Zealand Gazette No. 103, of the 8th October, 1879, page 1403, for "George Elliott," read "Albert
Elliott." In Gazette No. 37, of the 17th April, 1880, page 531, for "George Elliot," read "Albert Elliott."
