I, Robert Park, do solemnly and sincerely declare
that-
- I am the Manager of the said intended Com-
pany. - The above statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular; and I make
this solemn declaration conscientiously believing the
same to be true, and by virtue of an Act of the
General Assembly of New Zealand intituled "The
Justices of the Peace Act, 1866."

BOROUGH COUNCIL NOTICE.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Borough Council
of the Borough of Wanganui propose to take, as
a source of water supply for the said borough, under
the provisions of "The Public Works Act, 1876," the
land covered with water known as the Virginia Lake,
together with the strip of land immediately surround-
ing the said lake, containing altogether 37 acres
1 rood, more or less, and being parts of the country
Sections Nos. 15, 16, and 17 in the Wanganui Dis-
trict, on the right bank of the Wanganui River, and
part of the public road known as the Great North-
western Road, in the said district. And, further,
that the works proposed to be executed in or about
such lands are the fencing-in of the same or portions
thereof, and the connection by pipes of the water in
the said lake with the present system of water supply
of the said borough. And, further, that a copy of
such plans, showing generally the nature of the works
proposed to be executed, and the lands required to be
taken for the same, together with the names of the
owners and occupiers of such lands so far as they can
be ascertained, made in accordance with the provisions
of the said Act, has been deposited and is open for
inspection at the tollhouse, situate on the said Great
North-western Road, near the said borough, known
as St. John's Tollhouse (being a place in the road
district where such lands are), and that another copy
of the said plans has been deposited and is open for
inspection at the public offices of the said Council in
the said borough. And notice is hereby further given
that all persons affected are hereby required to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the
execution of such works or to the taking of such
lands, and to send such writing within forty days from
the first publication of this notice to the said Borough
Council.

APPOINTMENT OF RANGER AND INSPECTOR OF
NUISANCES.
NOTICE is hereby given that CHARLES H. COLLINS
has been appointed Ranger and Inspector of
Nuisances for the Foxton Local Board. Appoint-
the ment to date from 13th December, 1880.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD.
THAT THE Waimea Highway Board hereby give notice
that, under the provisions of "The Public Works
Act, 1876," they propose taking land for a new road
through Sections 45 and 93, Square IV., on the plan
of Waimea South, in the County of Waimea, being
2022 links long, by a width of 50 links, the property
of Catherine Morrisson, of Bell Grove, Nelson.
Plan, showing the land required to be taken for
the same, will be open for inspection at the Bell
Grove Inn on and after Monday, the 20th instant.
Objections to the taking of such land to be sent in
writing to the undersigned on or before the 29th day
of January next.

MEDICAL PRACTITIONER'S REGISTRATION.
I, SAMUEL JAMES DENTON, Doctor of
Medicine, of the Bellevue Hospital, Medical
College, New York, residing in Oamaru, hereby give
notice that I intend to apply, within thirty days from
date hereof, to have my name registered as a
Medical Practitioner under "The Medical Practi-
tioners Registration Act, 1869;" and that I have
deposited my diploma, with a copy of this notice, in
the office of the Registrar for the District of Dunedin,
for public inspection, in terms of section 14 of this
Act.
