Mining Notices.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONSTRUCT A WATER-
RACE.

To the Chief Commissioner and Members of the Waste
Land Board of the Provincial District of Otago.

TAKE notice that it is intended to construct a
water-race and divert water for irrigation, wool-
scouring, and domestic purposes, commencing at a
point on Parson's Creek about half a mile south-west
of the crossing of the said creek by the main Waitaki
Road, and terminating at the Mount Ida Pastoral
Investment Company's wool-shed, Rugged Ridges
Station, Waitaki District.
The length of such race is about one and a half
miles, and its intended course is in a south-easterly
direction; the mean depth and breadth of such race
is 3 feet by 3 feet; and it is proposed to divert eight
heads of water. Term for which required, fifteen
years.
