Extending Jurisdiction of the Resident Magistrate's
Court, New Plymouth.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority in me vested in this behalf by " The
Resident Magistrates Act, 1867," I, Arthur Hamilton
Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after
the first day of January proximo, the jurisdiction of
the Resident Magistrate's Court for
The NEW PLYMOUTH DISTRICT,
as the same is defined in a Proclamation bearing date
the twenty-ninth day of November, one thousand
eight hundred and sixty-seven, shall be extended to
one hundred pounds.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Honorable Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Dis-
tinguišhed Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George, Her Majesty's High
Commissioner for the Western Pacific,
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in
and over Her Majesty's Colony of New
Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
twenty-first day of December, in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and eighty.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
sixteenth day of December, 1880.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and au-
thority vested in the Governor by "The Supreme
Court Act, 1860," His Excellency the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice
and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby appoint that the Circuit Court
appointed to be held at the Supreme Courthouse,
Wellington, in January next, shall be held at the
Resident Magistrate's Courthouse at Wellington, in
lieu thereof.
