of Auckland.

WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of “The Land Act, 1877,” it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which, in his opinion, are required for any of the pur-
poses in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon,
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily
reserve from sale the land in the Provincial District
of Auckland described in the Schedule hereunder
written, for the purpose in the said Schedule speci-
fied.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 4 acres, more or less, and being Lot
No. 417, situate in the Survey District of Hamilton,
Provincial District of Auckland, Parish of Kirikiriwa,
commencing at a point distant from the south-
westernmost corner of Lot 411, 110 links. Bounded
—Generally South-westerly by the Waikato River
and a stream, 2430 links; towards the North-east by
lines, 380, 1200, and 620 links respectively; and
towards the South-east by a line to commencing
point, 130 links. For the protection of the banks of
the Waikato River.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasure-
ment 25 acres 2 roods, more or less, being the
southern portion of Lots 107 and 109 and Lot 108 of
Suburban Section 6, Parish of Waitemata. Bounded
on the North by the northern portions of Lots 107
and 109 of Suburban Section 6 aforesaid, 1810 links;
on the East and South-east by roads, 2048 links;
on the South by a road, 1410 links; and on the West
by a road, 1295 links, to commencing point: exclusive,
however, of so much of the said land as is occupied
by the rifle range. For an addition to gaol reserve.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 50 acres, more or less, being Lot 46 of
the Parish of Puniu, Puniu Survey District, Provin-
cial District of Auckland. Bounded towards the
North by a road-line, 1898 links; towards the East
by Lot 48, 2540 links; towards the South by Lot
47, 1765 links; and towards the West by Lots 41
and 43, 2979 links: be all the aforesaid linkages
more or less. For a plantation.
All that piece or parcel of land containing by ad-
measurement 80 acres 3 roods 3 perches, more or
less, being Lot 223 of the Parish of Puniu, Puniu
Survey District, Provincial District of Auckland.
Bounded towards the North by Lots 214 and 215,
4263 links; towards the East by a road-line, 2090
links; towards the South by Lots 224, 225, and 226,
4570 links; and towards the West by Lot 220, 1470
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Governor, this seventh day of December,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty.

the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then

rarily reserved under the said one hundred and forty-fourth section may, at the expiration of one month
but not later than six months after the publication in the Gazette of notice of such temporary reservation,
be permanently reserved, and that notice of such permanent reservation shall be published in the Gazette:
And whereas the lands specified in the first column of the Schedule hereto were, by the several
warrants the dates of which are specified in the third column of the said Schedule, and the notifications of
which were published in the Gazettes specified in the fourth column, temporarily reserved under the
authority of the said Act for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule:
Now, therefore, I, Arthur Hamilton Gordon, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do hereby permanently
reserve the lands so temporarily reserved as aforesaid, and enumerated in the first column of the Schedule
hereto, for the purposes specified in the second column of the said Schedule, being the same purposes for
which the said lands were so temporarily reserved as aforesaid,
