following: "Bristol's, established in 1832," and be-
apparently emblematical of clouds and lightning, is
neath a wreath. Below this device is another of a
shaped border. In a scroll which forms the top of
this border are the words "The only true extract."
The view represented is of a lake with mountain in
the distance, in the foreground the figure of a Red
Indian, with palm-trees and plantains. Below this
view the word "Sarsaparilla" in shaded letters across
the label, and below this an inner border or device of
double irregular lines, and in this border in black-and-
white letters, in a black-and-white chequered ground,
the following words and figures: "Lanman and
Kemp, sole agents, New York." This label is printed
in black on a white ground.
Nature of Article to which it is intended such Trade
Mark shall apply.
A medicinal preparation called "Bristol's Sarsa-
parilla."

Description of No. 3 Trade Mark.
A square label, with white ground and a gilt
border. Along the top a gilt device or scroll in a
curved line in the form of two capital Ss conjoined,
with the figure of a butterfly in the centre in gilt,
blue, and scarlet colours, hovering over a bouquet of
flowers. In the bends and curves of the scroll are
bright bouquets of leaves and flowers in gold, blue,
scarlet, and green colours, and in each of the upper
corners, on a curved branch of the scroll, is the figure
of a macaw or parrot in gold, scarlet, green, and blue
colours. In the centre of the label is a fountain is
playing, the water, in gilt and blue, falling over a
large bouquet of leaves and flowers in blue, green,
gilt, and crimson, the base of the fountain being
surrounded by a wreath of flowers, with two large
festoons of flowers, one hanging on either side, with
a butterfly beneath it. The words "Florida Water,"
printed in blue letters, are across the fountain and
festoons, and beneath the fountain the words
"Murray and Lanman" in red letters, and the words
"New York" in gold letters. In the left-hand
lower corner of the label is a curved scroll in the
shape of S reversed, and upon it is the figure
of a girl in blue-and-crimson dress, with golden hair,
and holding a parrot in colours of gold, red, and
green in her left hand. In the right-hand lower
corner, upon a similar scroll, a troubadour is seated,
dressed in gold, red, and green, playing upon a guitar,
and in the centre of the lower portion of the label a
shield-shaped scroll, surmounted by a bouquet of
flowers in gold, blue, and green, contains the words
"Prepared only by Lanman and Kemp, New York,"
in black letters on a red-and-white ground.

Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Jurisdiction.
NOTICE is hereby given that three or more of the
Judges of the Supreme Court of New Zealand
Monday, the seventeenth day of November next, at
eleven o'clock in the forenoon, to hear and determine
petitions for the dissolution or for a sentence of
nullity of marriage, under section 60 of "The
Divorce and Matrimonial Causes Act, 1867," and
also for the despatch of all other business accruing
under the said Act.
Dated at Wellington, this second day of Septem-
ber, in the year one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.

allotments of Crown lands will be offered for
sale by public auction, at the Lands Office, Hokitika,
on Wednesday, the 17th day of September, 1879, at
2 o'clock p.m. One-fourth of the purchase-money
to be paid at the sale, and the remainder within one
calendar month, or the deposit will be forfeited:—
