Arrangements for First Elections, Borough of Waimate.

Colonial Secretary's Office,
Wellington, 10th September, 1879.
HIS Excellency the Governor has been pleased to
appoint
FRANCIS IRVING
to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Waimate, as
constituted by Proclamation of date 8th September
instant, and also to be Returning Officer to hold the
first election of Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors
of the said borough; also to appoint Monday, the
6th day of October next, for the election of Mayor,
and Wednesday, the 8th day of October next, for
the election of Councillors; and Friday, the 10th
day of October next, for the election of Auditors;
also to appoint Monday, the 13th day of October,
next, at 2 p.m., to be the day and hour for the
first meeting of the Council of the said borough, and
the County Council Chambers at Waimate to be the
place of such meeting.

ALEXANDER YOUNG
to be Town Clerk of the Borough of Hampden, as
constituted by Proclamation of date 8th September
instant; and
THOMAS WINDLE PARKER
to be Returning Officer to hold the first election of
Mayor, Councillors, and Auditors of the said
borough; also to appoint Monday, the 6th day of
October next, for the election of Mayor; and Wed-
nesday, the 8th day of October next, for the election
of Councillors; and Friday, the 10th day of October
next, for the election of Auditors; also to appoint
Monday, the 13th day of October next, at noon, for
the first meeting of the Council of the said borough,
and the Mechanics' Institute, Hampden, to be the
place of such meeting.
