Writs issued for Election of Members of the House of Representatives.

TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME—GREETING:

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS I, being desirous that the General Assembly should be holden as soon
as may be, do declare that I have this day signed my Warrant for the issue of
Writs, in due form, for the election of duly-qualified persons to serve as Members
of the House of Representatives, which Writs are to bear date the EIGHTEENTH day of
AUGUST instant, and to be returnable on the SEVENTEENTH day of SEPTEMBER next.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and
its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this FIFTEENTH day of August, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.
