Dissolving General Assembly.

To the LEGISLATIVE COUNCILLORS of the Colony of NEW ZEALAND, and
the MEMBERS elected to serve in the HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES
of the said colony, and to all whom it may concern—GREETING :

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS I have thought fit to dissolve the General Assembly of New Zealand,
which stands prorogued to the first day of September next: Now KNOW YE
that I do for that end publish this Proclamation, and do hereby dissolve the said
General Assembly accordingly; and the Legislative Councillors, and the Members
elected to serve in the House of Representatives, are discharged from their meeting
and attendance on the said first day of September next.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order
of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and
its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this fifteenth day of August, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.
