THE following Notice to Mariners, received from
the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, Mel-
bourne, is published for general information.

PORT PHILLIP BAY.—NORTH SHORE, BETWEEN
WERRIBEE AND LITTLE RIVERS.
PILOTS, masters of vessels, and others are informed
that a fourth-class overend black buoy has been placed
4½ cables off, and due south of, the end of the spit
running off the north shore, midway between the
Werribee and Little Rivers.
The buoy is 1½ miles off shore, is in 16 feet at low
water, and is 6 cables length inside a fairway course
between Point Cook and the Point Wilson's steam-
boat buoys.
All bearings are magnetic.

the Portmaster, Brisbane, is published for general
information.

PRINCE OF WALES CHANNEL, TORRES STRAITS.
To avoid during flood tide the sunken 3-fathom
patch to the W.S.W. of D Reef, vessels are recom-
mended to follow the S.W. by W. course one mile
further than shown by the track laid down on the
chart, and until the west point of Goode Island
bears S.E. by E.
There is not more than 16 feet on this danger at
low-water springs.
