Establishing Port of Foxton.

HERCULES ROBINSON, Governor.

IN exercise of the power in me for this purpose
vested by "The Customs Regulation Act, 1858,"
I, Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint that, on and from the day of the date hereof,
there shall be within the County of Manawatu a
port to be called

The PORT of FOXTON,
the limits whereof shall be as follows:-

The Manawatu River and a space on each bank of
40 chains in width from its mouth to a line where
the production of the eastern side of the road line
between Sections numbered 427 and 429, Township
of Foxton, would cross the river, together with the
Town of Foxton, as delineated on the official plan of
the same.

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; at the
Government House, at Wellington, this
thirtieth day of May, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine.
