In compliance with the instructions conveyed by
the commission of the 3rd of September, 1872, I
have the honor to state that since the publication of
my last report I have examined all applications for
the New Zealand War Medal, which were from time
to time referred to me, and, having admitted the
correctness of the claims of officers and men of the
Colonial Forces whose names are recorded in the
