of the Colony of New Zealand to be here-
unto affixed, at Wellington, the eleventh
day of June, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine.

Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and Over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and
issued at Wellington, this ninth day of
June, in the year of our Lord one thou-
sand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

IN pursuance of the powers in me vested, I Sir
Hercule George Robert Robinson, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint
the following persons to be Returning Officers for
the Maori Electoral Districts hereinafter specified :-

Eastern Maori Electoral District.
FRANCIS EDWARDS HAMLIN, Esq., J.P.

Southern Maori Electoral District.
ALEXANDER MACKAY, Esq., R.M.
