SCHEDULE.

COMMENCING at a point at Tinwald Station, on the
Amberley-Waitaki Railway, the said point being
within the limits of deviation of portion of the rail-
way from Ashburton to Temuka, as described in the
Proclamation dated the 20th February, 1874, and
published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 13, of
26th February, 1874; and proceeding thence in a
generally westerly and north-westerly direction for a
distance of 11 miles 20 chains or thereabouts, passing
in, into, through, or over the following lands: Town-
ship of Tinwald: Rural Section No. 6023; Reserves
Nos. 2064, 2275, 350, and 2378; Rural Sections Nos.
20828, 20822, 17297, 6424; I.P.R. B'; 21609, 17294,
6425, 15042, 15043, 15037, 15038, 17295, 5254, 22252,
5253, and 28069; Reserve No. 1960; Rural Sections
Nos. 28782, 5249, 20339, 5250, 33182, and 32742; Re-
serve No. 1961; Rural Sections Nos. 29188 and 29187;
Reserve No. 1962; Rural Sections Nos. 28494, 20338,
20840, 28515, and 28493; Reserve No. 2073; Rural
Section No. 32999; Crown lands; I.P.R. E'; I.P.R.
D' 32584, 28492, and I.P.R. Z'; and terminating at
a point within Rural Section 33010; all within
the Upper Ashburton Road District, Provincial
District of Canterbury, Colony of New Zealand;
including all adjoining and intervening places,
lands, roads, reserves, streams, rivers, and water-
courses; in the manner delineated on the map and
plan marked P.W.D. 6964, signed by the Honor-
able James Macandrew, Minister for Public Works,
deposited in the office of the Registrar of the Supreme
Court at Christchurch, in the Provincial District of
Canterbury; the total length being 11 miles 20 chains
or thereabouts.

Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Governor and Commander-in-
Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony, at
the Government House, at Wellington,
this ninth day of May, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine.

Land withdrawn from the Deferred-payment System
in Taranaki.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the fifty-third section of "The
Land Act, 1877," it is enacted that the
Governor, by Proclamation in the Gazette, may from
time to time set apart out of any suburban or rural
lands such blocks or allotments of land as he shall
think fit, and set the same aside for sale on deferred
payments, and in such Proclamation may fix a day
on which the land shall be open for application; and
that he may also in like manner set apart for sale on
deferred payments such blocks or allotments as may
be recommended by any Land Board, and may also
from time to time alter, amend, or revoke any such
Proclamation;

And whereas the land specified in the Schedule
hereto was, with other lands, on the thirtieth day of
May, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-six,
proclaimed as open for occupation on deferred
payments:

And whereas the Land Board of Taranaki did, on
the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-nine, pass a resolution recommending
that the land described in the Schedule hereto
annexed should be withdrawn from the deferred-
payment system, and should be offered for sale by
public auction as ordinary rural land:

And whereas it is expedient to give effect to the
aforesaid recommendation:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Governor of the Colony of New Zea-
land, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in me by the above-named Acts,
do hereby revoke the Proclamation above referred
to, so far as it relates to the sections therein men-
tioned and included in the Schedule hereto, and do
proclaim and declare that the said sections are hereby
withdrawn from the operation of the deferred-pay-
ment system, and that the same shall be disposed of
as recommended by the Land Board aforesaid.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN exercise of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by the fourth section of "The Timaru
Harbour Board Endowment Act, 1878," and by thu
twenty-first, twenty-second, twenty-third, twentye
fourth, and twenty-fifth sections of "The Public
Works Act, 1876," I, Hercules George Robert
Robinson, Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, do hereby proclaim and
declare that the land described in the Schedule
hereto is taken for railway purposes, and that, from
and after the tenth day of May, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine, the land so described
shall become absolutely vested in fee-simple in Her
Majesty, discharged from all mortgages, charges,
claims, estates, and interests of what kind soever,
for the purposes of a railway.
