Boundaries of Nelson District Court District
altered.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by "The District Courts Act, 1858,"
it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor from time to time, as he shall think fit,
by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to con-
stitute throughout the colony, or in any part thereof,
districts within which District Courts shall be re-
spectively held, and such districts to abolish, and the
boundaries thereof to define or alter:

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the
sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and seventy-five, a district was defined within which
a District Court should be held under the said Act,
and it was thereby declared that the said Court
should be designated by the name of "The Nelson
District Court:"

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boundaries
of the said district so defined as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise
of the powers and authority vested in me by the said
Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and
after the twenty-first day of April instant, the boun-
daries of the district within which the Nelson District
Court shall be held shall be altered, and that thence-
forth the boundaries thereof shall be the boundaries
hereinafter described.

THE NELSON DISTRICT COURT.
Description of District.

All that area known as the Counties of Colling-
wood, Waimea, Sounds, Marlborough, and Kaikoura,
as the same are described in the First Schedule of
"The Counties Act, 1876."

Given under the hand of His Excellency
Sir Hercules George Robert Robinson,
Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distin-
guished Order of Saint Michael and Saint
George, Administrator of the Govern-
ment in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies;
and issued under the Seal of the said
Colony, at the Government House, at
Wellington, this ninth day of April, in
the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!

and it was thereby declared that the said Court
should be designated by the name of "The District
Court of Westland:"

And whereas it is expedient to alter the boun-
daries of the said district so defined as aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, Sir Hercules George Robert
Robinson, the Administrator of the Government of
the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authority vested in me
by the said Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that,
from and after the twenty-first day of April instant,
the boundaries of the district within which the
District Court of Westland shall be held shall be
altered, and that thenceforth the boundaries thereof
shall be the boundaries hereinafter described.

THE DISTRICT COURT OF WESTLAND.
Description of District.

All that area known as the Counties of Buller,
Inangahua, Grey, and Westland, as the same are
described in the First Schedule to "The Counties
Act, 1876."

by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to con-
stitute throughout the colony, or in any part thereof,
districts within which District Courts shall be re-
spectively held, and such districts to abolish, and the
boundaries thereof to define or alter:

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the
tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-five, a district was defined within which a
District Court should be held under the said Act,

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this
eighth day of April, 1879.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by "The Native Land Act, 1873," it
is enacted that it shall be lawful for the
Governor in Council from time to time to divide the
colony into districts for the purposes in the said Act,
and the limits of such districts from time to time to
alter as occasion may require:

And whereas by an Order in Council made under
the said Act on the eighteenth day of February, one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-four, the North
Island of New Zealand was divided into certain dis-
tricts, which districts were set out and defined in the
Schedule thereunder written; and the Southern
Island of New Zealand, together with Stewart
Island and the islands adjacent thereto, was also
constituted a district for the like purposes:

And whereas it is expedient to alter the limits of
the said districts in the said North Island as and in
manner hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him by the said in part recited Act, and by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, doth hereby alter the
limits of the said districts so defined as aforesaid in
the North Island of the said colony, and doth order
