Declaring Clean Sheep Districts and Infected Sheep
Districts within the Colony.

IT is hereby notified that, under the provisions of
"The Sheep Act, 1878," His Excellency the
Administrator of the Government has declared the
Sheep Districts of Napier, Canterbury, and Otago,
as defined in the Proclamations of the 24th December,
1878, and 20th January, 1879, to be clean sheep
districts; and has declared the Sheep Districts of
Auckland, New Plymouth, Wellington, Nelson,
Marlborough, and Westland, as defined in the said
Proclamations, to be infected districts.

Authorizing Chief Inspectors and Inspectors of Sheep
to receive Rate and Fees.

HIS Excellency the Administrator of the Govern-
ment has been pleased to authorize all Chief
Inspectors and Inspectors of Sheep appointed under
"The Sheep Act, 1878," to receive the rate upon
sheep, and such fees as are duly made and fixed
under the provisions of the said Act.
