ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this
twelfth day of March, 1879.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE
GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section thirty-nine of "The Ceme-
teries Management Act, 1877" (herein re-
ferred to as "the said Act"), it is, amongst other
things, enacted that, when the Trustees of any public
cemetery, or the Trustees, managers, or other persons
having the care and control of any other cemetery,
burial-ground, or place of burial theretofore esta-
blished, shall be desirous of adopting the provisions
of the said Act, or any of them, in the place of any
Act or Ordinance or any provisions of such Act or
Ordinance theretofore regulating the management of
such last-mentioned cemetery, burial-ground, or place
of burial, the said Trustees, managers, or other per-
sons may apply to the Governor in Council in that
behalf, who may thereupon cause inquiry to be made
in such manner as he shall think fit as to the desira-
bility of granting such petition, and the Governor
may, by Order in Council, direct that the provisions
of the said Act, or any of them, shall come into force
in respect of any such cemetery, burial-ground, or
place of burial, or he may reject any such applica-
tion:
And whereas the Trustees of the cemetery in the
Town of Alexandra, in the County of Waipa,
described in the Schedule hereto, are desirous of
adopting the provisions of the said Act in place of
the Acts or Ordinances heretofore regulating the
management of such cemetery, and have made appli-
cation to the Governor in Council in that behalf:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator
of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand,
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities aforesaid, doth hereby order
and direct that, from and after the first day
of April, one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine, all the provisions of "The Ceme-
teries Management Act, 1877," shall come into force
in respect of the aforesaid cemetery, as the same is
described in the Schedule hereto.
Given under the hand of His Excellency
James Prendergast, Esquire, Adminis-
trator of the Government in and over
Her Majesty's Colony of New Zea-
land and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Go-
vernment House, at Wellington, this
twentieth day of March, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and
seventy-nine.

SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of
Auckland, in the Colony of New Zealand, containing
by admeasurement five (5) acres, more or less, and
being Allotment numbered five hundred and eighteen
(518), in the Town of Alexandra East, Parish of
Mangapiko. Bounded towards the North by a
street 100 links wide, 270 links and 350 links;
towards the East by Allotment No. 519, 910 links;
towards the South by a street 100 links wide, 550
links; and towards the West by a street 150 links
wide, 1020 links.
