A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of all powers and autho-
rities enabling me in that behalf, I, George
Augustus Constantine, Marquis of Normanby,
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby
proclaim and declare that, by Order in Council made
under the provisions of "The Bank Holidays Act,
1873," and "The Bank Holidays Amendment Act,
1878," of even date herewith, I have appointed
Thursday, the twenty-seventh day of February
instant, and Friday, the twenty-eighth day of Feb-
ruary instant, to be observed as bank half-holidays
from the hour of noon, under and for the purposes
of the above-mentioned Act, within the City of
Dunedin.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the
Most Honorable George Augustus Con-
stantine, Marquis of Normanby, Earl of
Mulgrave, Viscount Normanby, and
Baron Mulgrave of Mulgrave, all in the
County of York, in the Peerage of the
United Kingdom; and Baron Mulgrave
of New Ross, in the County of Wexford
in the Peerage of Ireland; a Member of
Her Majesty's Most Honorable Privy
Council; Knight Grand Cross of the Most
Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and
Saint George; Governor and Commander-
in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued
under the Seal of the said Colony,
at Dunedin, this nineteenth day of
February, in the year of our Lord one
thousand eight hundred and seventy-nine.

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!
Land temporarily reserved in the Provincial District
of Hawke's Bay.
NORMANBY, Governor.
WHEREAS by the one hundred and forty-fourth
section of "The Land Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may from time to time, either by
general or particular description, and whether the
same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale
temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be
then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands
which in his opinion are required for any of the
purposes in the said section mentioned :
Now, therefore, I, George Augustus Constantine,
Marquis of Normanby, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the
powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act,
do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in
the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay described in
the Schedule hereunder written, for the purpose in
the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land situated in the Provincial
District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasure-
ment one (1) rood, being the Town Section numbered
29 on the plan of the Township of Woodville.
Bounded towards the North by Section numbered 28,
two hundred and fifty (250) links; towards the East
by Ormond Street, one hundred (100) links; towards
the South by Pollen Street, two hundred and fifty
(250) links; and towards the West by Section
numbered 32, one hundred (100) links: as the same
is delineated on the plan deposited in the Survey
Office, Napier. As a site for post and telegraph office.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the
Governor, this fifteenth day of February,
one thousand eight hundred and seventy-
nine.
