Sale of Crown Lands.

Crown Lands Office,
Wellington, 31st December, 1878.

NOTICE is hereby given that there will be offered
for sale by public auction, at the District
Land Office, Patea, on Tuesday, the 11th day of
March, 1879, at 11 o'clock in the forenoon, the fol-
lowing sections of surveyed rural Crown lands,
situate in the Wairoa District.

Maps and printed schedules containing detailed
particulars can be seen at the District Land Office,
Patea; the Public Works Office, Wanganui; and at
the Land Office, Wellington.

Twenty-five per cent. of the purchase-money to be
paid on the fall of the hammer, and the balance in a
month.

LAND TRANSFER ACT NOTICE.

NOTICE is hereby given that PHILADELPHIA
PYKETT, Wife of SAMUEL PYKETT, of Christ-
church, Carrier, claiming as Devisee under the Will
of CHARLES SAMUEL COURTNEY, late of Christchurch,
Labourer, has applied to be registered as Proprietress
of 2 roods, part of Rural Section No. 79, comprised
in Certificate of Title, Vol. iii., fol. 76; and that she
will be so registered unless caveat forbidding the
same be lodged within one month after the date of
the Gazette containing this notice.

under the provisions of "The Land Transfer Act,
1870," unless caveat be lodged forbidding the same
within one month after the date of the Gazette con-
taining this notice.

  1. EDWARD SPENCER BELL.-4 acres
    3 roods, part of Rural Section 312, Christchurch
    District. Occupied by Applicant.
  2. ROBERT WILKIN.-752 acres, part of
    Rural Section 4354, Ashburton District. Occupied

WESTLAND.

AT a Meeting of Solicitors of the Supreme
Court of New Zealand, duly convened and
held in accordance with the provisions of "The
District Law Societies Act, 1878," at the Supreme
Court Library, Hokitika, on Friday, the 31st day
of January, 1879, it was resolved, "That the Solicitors
of the Supreme Court of New Zealand residing and
practising within the Judicial District of Westland
shall be associated by the name of 'The Law Society
of the District of Westland.'"-Passed.
